Remains of Erica Parsons discovered five years after she disappeared

Authorities confirmed to Channel 9 that the skeletal remains of Erica Parsons was discovered Tuesday in Chesterfield County.

Thirty years after unidentified skeletal remains were found on the banks of the Jackson River, Alleghany County authorities have finally put a name on the case.

The remains are those of 17-year-old Michael Dean Perdue, who was reported missing in May 1985, authorities say.
