LE is asking that same question, Suzi. The theory that he may have kept it or given it to someone might not be so far off.

For the life of me I cannot understand WHY or, for that matter HOW he took that teddy bear. While trying to get Brianna out of there quickly and quietly!

LOL adnoid...I've been called the same thing!!!!

SS the meal is NEW news. Forgive me, but I have to ask...any stomach contents that would help with a time-line? I have no knowledge in that area.

No problem! Glad to help! It is quite a case to keep up with since it does involve prior attacks and has had so much media coverage. If I didn't follow it religiously...I would be lost very quickly!

It is wonderful that you are involved in the search for missing children and adult on such a level. I commend you for it!! Bravo!!

Did we know that Brianna ate at Mel's Diner inside the Sands before returning home?! I don't recall hearing that tid bit before.

After attending a rap concert as part of a snowboarding event, Brianna Denison ate at Mel's Diner inside the Sands Regency before going back to the MacKay Court home.

SS, I have read everything I can get my hands on & no where does it say that Brianna ate at Mel's diner. Where did you find that? I looked on link,
figured thats why you posted it, am I wrong?

Sure stomach contents would help, but after this much time...not certain if it is still applicable. I would venture to guess the news of where they ate must have come from her friend, KT.

Click on the fourth red icon down on the left hand side. It will pop up a window to explain the location. This is where it states she ate at Mel's.

Meaning no disrespect to Bri...if it is known what she ate at Mel's, and the autopsy confirms it, TOD can be loosely established, yes? And I realize that's assuming the cold temps aided decomp.

Try this BB. The bear had something on it maybe DNA and he might have used the bear to keep her quite from screaming. So if the bear was in her face it would be easy to alos get the bear out of the house.

Yes...depending on the decomp.

I understand but, I'm still trying to picture him gagging her then taking her away with a two foot teddy bear! Was she carried? dragged or, did he somehow force her compliance? While he led her away holding that large bear over her face??

Been gone for a minute, did a little research. Sorry if graphic. In a report by Dr. Baden, if body was frozen contents of stomach would stay that way and doesn't get further digested and if it can be ascertained when & where last meal was eaten they can tell by state of food how long victim lived after eating it. So depending on how long Brianna's body was covered with snow, omg, this is hard speaking of her as a body. I'm upset...

She was a tiny girl and I don't see it being a problem for him to maneuver her out the door with that teddy bear. I have always thought he was using it to cover her face since he didn't have anything else handy besides the blanket which was dropped. (His MO was that he covered their faces or tried to.) It always has bothered me that she was instantly cold in her jammies. (sigh) I know it sounds odd since it would be the least of her worries at that point, but it just bothers me.

Paddy TY for looking into it further. Knowing TOD maybe doesn't really matter but if I was Bri's mom, it would matter to me.

On Monday, when the businesses/offices/schools fill with workers again, I hope everyone looks twice at all males.

Excuse the pun. But can you say bear hug from behind and took her out the back door.

I agree SS. He may have used the teddy bear to muffle her voice and/or to asphyxiate her. Or, sadly Brianna may have held on tightly to that teddy bear as she was taken away. Either way, the teddy bear was taken along with Brianna.

Do we know yet if this perp kept her "captive"? If we could nail down the time, then how was perp able to disguise body for so long. He had to be single, or clearly another case of the spouse being completely ignorant or did he put her in a car? I think she was in the field one week, where could he have kept her?

There should have been approx time of death, by now. Did the snow reduce decomposition?

>snip From 2 News, 2/16:

"John says they recovered evidence at the scene that will aid in the investigation but declined to describe it. He also says they don't want to be any more specific about how long the body had been in the field because that was something only the killer and law officers know.
