I believe that statistics show that 90% of victims of serial killers are dead within 24 hours. I cannot find links for this as it just based on what I learned long ago. In any event the slime was so bold and a risk taker that I doubt he would have planned based on traffic or on anyone else's plans except for his own twisted needs and desires.

I was looking on AMW's site under the missing section and about 90% have been recovered 'deceased'. Sickening!!

On another note, I think that he has probably been inside that house before since the door is always kept unlocked. He probably scoped out that house on many different nights. They should check their bedroom doors to see if anyone tried breaking in.
Any responses to my theory as to why there is a ditch there? Did LE remove some off the dirt for evidence. If not, it looks a little suspicious.

Actually, I seem to be flip flopping in my recent post and felt I owed an appology.

I am sure someone is saying, "just shut up!" and "quit taking out both sides of your mouth!".

I have read about other murderers who started just like this guy. First, he fantasized about abduction and rape. He actually had trial runs first, just picking up hitchhiking women and letting them go. Then, he graduated to abducting and raping. Then, abducting, raping and murder. To actually pull it off takes practice. I guess that the circumstances were exactly right that allowed this guy to make the leap from attempted kidnapping to kidnapping and sexual assault to kidnapping, assault and murder.

IMO, if his previous victim had been at the home where he went on 1/19, I believe that she would have been his victim, not Brianna. Who knows? Maybe, her not being there enraged him enough to rape and murder his next victim. In that way, she (Brianna) could never leave him again.

A couple of thoughts:

• I think the teddy bear was given as a gift to a child. The murderer did not know that this case would become a media sensation.
• I think that this guy shaves because his significant other prefers it that way.
• I think that he wears condoms because he doesn't want to risk bringing home a disease to his significant other. She thinks that he is faithful.
• I think that he placed the body in a place for Brianna to be found. She's been dead from the beginning. He expected her to be found immediately. If she had been, there may not have been the media attention that there is now.

A couple quick thoughts:

1. I agree that it's possible the teddy bear is with the child who owns the shoe seen in the truck.

2. Its also possible the shoe does not belong to a baby at all. I have seen many people who are given their own baby shoes by parents and they hang them from the rear view mirror of their car. Just a thought, the shoe may be the perp's.

3. LE seem to indicate that the undergarments were found 'with' her body. I am now wondering if she was WEARING them when she was found. They could have belonged to an ex partner of the perp and he placed them on her or forced her to wear them as part of the attack.

You may be heading down the right road to be suspicious about the ditch. I have just thought it was a natural drainage ditch or created by earth moving equipment when the roads were built.

On 1/19 he returned to the foreign exchange student's house and tried to break in (breaking off the doorknob). She had returned to Taiwan. He abducted Brianna on 1/20. Too close for coincidence, wouldn't you say?
