I don't remember anyone ever saying that she was taken out the front door. Just speculation mainly because that door was unlocked. Why would LE keep this info from the public? Why can't they give us a little more to go by. How could a little more info jeopardize the investigation? Hopefully AMW will have more info on Saturday. Are they airing Brianna stuff this Saturday? I hope so.

Just like some other information, it may be withheld as something only the perp, and those close to the investigation, would know. I am not sure how it would help the case by the public knowing which door he used. Am I missing something?

I did read somewhere, sorry I can't remember the source, that it was being postponed until this Saturday.

I apologize I should have put John Edwards comment at the end. I was talking about the perp smiling alot and shy...Thanks...

I was just kidding. I do think the perp is reserved, in that, he does not want anyone to know about his thoughts. I agree that he may smile alot and is shy.

You have a better idea seeing that you are local. I was just going by the picture which looks very much like a sunk in grave. I can't see how long that ditch is.

SS, I have to kind of agree with DAD on the fact that you said that you would not come forward if you were the owner of the UW because you were scared that he might come after you. If you were the owner and he knew it, he would still come after you to keep you silent.
I guess the satire was missed by both of you. I was referring to the way it was brought out on the last thread that LE is NOT here to protect anyone. I thought it was Dad that said it, but it could have been one of three people actually. (Hard to tell them apart sometimes)

While I would certainly call LE immediately to let them know the thong was mine plus who might have been near enough to steal them...others may not because of what they have possible read here or other places telling them that LE is not here for their protection. (I already knew that LE doesn't do what is neccessary to prevent attacks which was my entire point on the other thread!)

There have been many cases where things were overlooked that made perfectly good common sense...and shouldn't have been overlooked. With so many leads and things to look at it sometimes takes a cop with a knowing in the pit of his stomach that causes him or her to pursue a seemingly dead end lead or a new angle....
I agree! The best detectives are the ones who use their "gut feeling" to field leads and go after the missing piece to the puzzle. In Brianna's case, I can only hope we have those kind of detectives. This case has already gone on for too long and it runs the risk of going cold unless the perp strikes again. It is a horrible thought that LE might have to wait on another attack before they get a substantial lead on this 🤬🤬🤬.

Hopefully, anyone that knows something that contributes to catching the perp will not be influenced by the LE bashing they may read here. I pray for their courage.

It is encouraging that so many leads are coming in, as previously posted.

I am not really certain how many cases are solved on "gut feelings" versus intellect and experience but if it doesn't get in the way of the investigation and can provide a positive step, I am for it.

I don't think that "gut feelings" come without intellect or experience. The most intellectual detectives have fostered those feelings into viable leads, IMO. One of our very best Homicide Detectives once told me he relied heavily on what his "gut" was telling him when piecing together cases.

Well, I agree that the gut feelings are more effective with intellect and experience. Thanks for clarifying your thought on that.

This is a thought that has been rolling around in my head since the time Brianna was found...We have all heard of copycat criminals, and with the HUGE press on Meredith Emerson, and GH, I am wondering if this perp, in Brianna's case wanted the fame, and big story, if he is doing these things merely to be 'a famous IDIOT'? I know the actions appear a little different, but this perp seems to want spotlight, or its growing on him, thus the panties, so that he can watch what the public does, and the police do with it. HE seems like the type that would even read this website, just for the sheer attention he is getting...grrrr

I don't know, but I hope he does read here. I am sure we aren't doing much for his ego since we think he is a 🤬🤬🤬. Not to mention, he probably is very "inadequate" in the department of his shaved region. :)

This is very interesting. If this actually did happen, it occurred just 10 days before Brianna was taken. I hope someone did do a follow up on this. It raises a lot of questions - how close was this incident to the neighborhood where Brianna was abducted; does the condom left there match the one that was left with the November victim; was there any DNA left from the person and does it match the DNA from the suspect?

The above also demonstrates that the suspect doesn't necessarily have to buy used underwear online, but could easily steal used underwear from a home.

If someone has come forward as the owner of the underwear, I don't think the police would make this fact known to the public. It would put the owner of the underwear in jeopardy because the perp would also know that she went to the police. The police would likely act on any information learned from the owner of the underwear and give her some sort of protection from harm.
Now that Brianna has been found, I think a lot of investigating by LE will be done without telling the public what they're doing. I agree, they need to find this rapist/murderer without jeopardizing anyone else like previous victims. I do find that comment interesting and if this is true, also share your questions where this person lives in relation to the university campus and so forth.

Panthera, what comment are you talking about? I guess I am dashing in and out so quickly here that I must have missed something! What person?!

For some reason I was thinking that, during the Mark F walkthru, he mentioned a third door but I may be wrong.

I remember Mark Fuhrman saying that both the front and back doors were both left unlocked. So, it could probably be either one, or he came in one way and went out the other. The sliding glass door had one of those sticks that will prevent the door from fully opening, but I don't think he (MF) knew for sure whether it was always kept that way.

You're exactly right LillyRush.
If remember correctly, Furhman was standing at the front door. The camera person stood just behind Mark and you could look into the front door, see the couch and also look right past the couch and see the other door. The girl who lived in the house said the couch was in the common area and that the doors were left unlocked. The girl said she locked her bedroom door only.

Yep, and I remember that cute dog laying by the back door, seeming to guard it. I guess that was KC's dog that she kept locked with her inside her bedroom. It's too bad that the dog wasn't regularly let out to stay in that "common" area, maybe it would have deterred anyone from coming inside.

  • #236
I thought the same thing about the dog.
Maybe if he'd been in that area, the perp would have been afraid to take Brianna.

  • #237
I don't think the dog would have prevented in any way what took place as I actually think the dog did bark..but the girls, after drinking a bit and going into a deeper sleep, didn't hear him/her. I also think he probably would have just let the dog outside and that would have been the end of it.

  • #238
So you think the dog was friendly?
I figured he'd either bark differently or growl if a stranger was around. Then again he could be like my dog who loves everybody.

  • #239
That house had people coming and going all the time. It wasn't like the dog didn't get used to such. Wasn't a typical home where the same people were with the dog all the time. Yes, I do think it was friendly in that respect...didn't have a choice!

Gotcha! ;)
That makes perfect sense.
