I'm still the same guy - just mind the TOS and we'll all get along. :blowkiss:
But if he has been convicted already, wouldn't his DNA be in the data bank?

How can you say this with such authority? Are you the PIO for the RPD? The fact is none of us have a clue about PD's motive regarding the media in this case. It does appear that they are employing unusual methods as far as the press release in concerned. But we can't even say for sure that the DNA "mixup" was intentional or not, let alone what the RPD's course of action is right now. Now before you go on some tirade about how it's "unintelligent" (your word) not to always question LE, lets just think about what we know as fact. Not speculation, hearsay, rumor, or assumptions.......but actual fact.
NW, SS. So the suspected killer somehow had one of the permanent female residents' underwear in his possession prior to dumping them where he dumped Brianna. I do wonder if he has a lingerie' fetish, and I wonder when he obtained them.

Address history for Nick/Nickolas Underwood:
2 addresses in Grass Valley, CA.
2 addresses in Nevada City, CA.
2 addresses in Cedar Ridge, CA.
1 address in Oxnard, CA.
6 addresses in Reno, Nevada
2 addresses in Sparks, Nevada
1 address is Las Vegas, Nevada
It's interesting how he's got addresses in both CA and NV. I wonder when he was in Oxnard? Looking at a map of the state it's not too far from Santa Barbara.
i wondered the same thing....i now see Rusty's response..makes sense....
i don't think it's the freak though....when i looked at the picture yesterday, it seems his face is too round...course he may have lost some weight in his face, but.......
Real quick - I don't have a source at my fingertips - I recall an early announcement that they were investigating 150 or so sex offenders early on in the investigation.

Yep - that's it. They were going to contact 1,700 offenders. So I was off by an order of magnitude. It was the incompetent cops that made me miscalculate!
This is the logical step to take, and it appears through the process of elimination, that the suspect is not among the registered sex offenders. He is someone outside that perimeter.
The address history I posted for Nick Underwood is the type of address history I would expect to see for the perp who murdered Brianna and attacked the other two women. I think he moves around a lot, perhaps due to his work. If he's in construction or some other outdoor line of work, he may move according to where the jobs are at that time. I'd expect to see the address history revolve around Nevada, California, and Arizona.
I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the suspect in Brianna's murder has moved out of the immediate area. He could be in Carson City, Tahoe, Truckee, or even as far west as Sacramento - two hours away, but I feel he's not within the city limits of Reno.
The November one was 6 p.m. on a Tuesday. If true, what types of job could that be in Nevada?
Also, is it correct that the attacks were on weekends?
And if the October one was linked, it was on a Monday. It doesn't say a time here, but I believe it was around 5 p.m. on Oct. 22.The November one was 6 p.m. on a Tuesday.

Sorry, I meant to post this link for my last post. http://news.rgj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080220/NEWS01/80220046/0/NEWS18&theme=DENISONAnd if the October one was linked, it was on a Monday. It doesn't say a time here, but I believe it was around 5 p.m. on Oct. 22.
So, the night attacks could be as the perp is going to work and the morning ones could be as he's coming back. Maybe he works an 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. shift. Could be a casino worker, security guard, worker at a 24-hour gym, a convenience store clerk - lots of possibilities.

I keep leaning towards construction. There's a lot of building in Reno, Las Vegas, the Sacramento area - northeast of the city, and going south, through the San Joaquin Valley.......Modesto, Merced, etc. In Nevada, there's a lot of construction south of Las Vegas too. Bullhead City, Arizona, on the river and border with Nevada is also booming.
In the construction industry there's a lot of jobs within that field - carpentry, plumbing, electrician, masonry, roofing, etc. There's excavation involving backhoes, dump trucks, and other heavy duty equipment. He could work in any of these fields having to do with construction.
Aside from construction, he could work for a trash-hauler, or be an independent trucker, landscaper, or drive a cement truck for small cement jobs (outside of the construction industry). He could also be an independent trucker, delivering goods from point A to point B.
