Bristol Palin Pregnant Again

Honestly I have no idea what he or she did previously. It appears as though what he/she did now was have unprotected sex.
My point was simply that it's not ONLY a woman's responsibility to prevent pregnancy. Obviously, both partners bear responsibility for their own actions. I deal with teenage mothers on a regular basis in my line of work. In many of those cases the baby's father is not involved. It's just MOO that boys/men need to understand that they are ALSO are responsible for bringing children into this world (and should wear protection if they don't want a child or an STD).

Annnnd BRISTOL is the spokesperson against unplanned pregnancy sooooooooo she should be the role model for being in charge of your own self and not relying on anyone else.

I agree completely, but as the mother of a son I think it works both ways. He was also raised to be in charge of "his own self and not rely on anyone else".

I'm in no way defending Bristol, just pointing out that there were two people involved. She certainly won't be the last woman to have an unplanned pregnancy.

I'll step aside as I think my opinion is a very unpopular one. Carry on! :seeya:

Well we don't know who the guy was and whether he wanted the pregnancy or not.

I am going to back you on this. I gave my nephew a lecture on it being his responsibility not to get a girl pregnant. Unfortunately many girls lie about being on birth control.

AND....birth control does fail. Not defending the hypocrisy of the Palins but accidents do happen.

Abstinence doesn't fail. Which is what she was preaching and making money off.

Somehow I think if baby daddy wanted the pregnancy, she wouldn't be announcing what a huge disappointment the pregnancy is.

I agree with you! And I'm not even criticizing her for getting pregnant out of wedlock. It happens to many young people. It's the hypocrisy that's the issue. But you are so right that both partners to consensual sex are responsible for what happens and both bear the responsibility.

For me, the elephant in the room is that Bristol has basically called her unborn baby a "disappointment".

The internet is forever. One day this child is going to read his or her selfish, hypocritical mother's words. I cannot imagine the pain of reading that your own mother posted for all the world to read her disappointment about your existence.

Enough of the Palins. They are full of chit.

So it's okay for her to lecture people about abstinence and abortion, but when she doesn't follow her own advice...again...she's not going to hear it.

That family is like the Duggars. Whatever they do is with the smiling forgiveness of God because they are speshul snowflakes.

Now, everyone else? Sinners. Goin' to hell.

I read awhile back, I believe on radar online, so take this with large GOS, that the engagement was called off because he had a secret wife. Never heard anything more about the "official" reason.:moo:

Sarah didn't get renewed as a Fox political yakker,:happydance:but I can only stomach Shep and Megyn .

ETA: I have to be really bored to read Radar Online.:blushing:

I totally agree butttttttttt, it is because of her moral superiority stance that I see things differently here. Unless she wqs raped, she could have not gotten pg if she said,, " No." So,no pass for the spokesperson from me. Sorry no can do

Yeah if they were together but the way she wrote the blog post the baby daddy is history, he's not going to be in the picture.

My little family always has, and always will come first.

Tripp, this new baby, and I will all be fine, because God is merciful.

Bristol claimed he was legally divorced. Being divorced doesn't sound like a plausible reason to break off the marriage.

"Dakota was legally divorced years ago, as any good reporter could and should have disclosed to readers," Bristol Palin's statement said. "As usual, false stories and dramatically written headlines begging controversy should be disregarded, and we have faith that our privacy will be respected at this time by those with decency."

Bad breakup? idk The absence of any kind of mention of the father and the total lack of even pretended joy about the baby sort of suggests that the baby daddy is someone she'd rather bury under a rock and forget she ever met him. But maybe he surfaces if there are questions about child support etc. later.

My question is, why is Bristol palin even considered news? Hope she and her family are excited about the baby.

She certainly isn't excited, or she wouldn't be calling her pregnancy news a "huge disappointment."
