GUILTY Brock Turner, college swimmer, CONVICTED of rape - sentenced to only 6 months in jail

Me too.....when I saw his sentenced was reduced to two months I figured I'd better just post the article and not comment. I have absolutely nothing kind to say about this brat RAPIST, his father or the judge.

Oh I so agree. I need to calm down so I can make an intelligent and educated post and not come across as a raving lunatic. I am very very angry about this.

‘Her story is my story;’ Former MU student writes to Brock Turner’s father about being raped

Liz Taylor has found her voice after 20 years, a voice strong enough to share with the world that she was raped in a dorm room at the University of Missouri in her freshman year.

She found the courage because she’s angry with Dan Turner, the father of Stanford swimmer Brock Turner who was sentenced Thursday to six months in jail for sexually assaulting an unconcious woman.

This is a very good read! imo You will find a link to Liz's letter to Brocks dad in the story.

That was unbelievably painful to read and well done. I hope the rapist's father is starting to feel like the jack*** he is.

Stanford rape case: Who is Judge Persky?

No explanation for this sentence other than the Stanford connection, imo.

OMG. Narcissistic, self serving, blaming the school, the swim team, the captain of the swim team, the alcohol, takes no responsibility, focuses on his own suffering, and that he wishes he wasn't a swimmer and hadn't attended Stanford so the papers wouldn't write about him... unreal.

Does this rapist have a mother or a sister? Or just a father who diminishes, deflects, excuses?

The judge should have recused himself. I think that he should lose his job for not doing so.

Ha! I was highly skeptical of his claims to be an in experienced, non-partygoer from a small Midwest town:

He lies, he lies, he lies.

From sister's letter

Caroline Turner, 22, said her younger brother has become “a shell of his former self, a broken young man,” since he was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.

“When he first returned from California a few days after the incident, I remember Brock needing to be constantly touched and held. He was suffering immensely and couldn’t sleep alone, much like me when I was a young child,” his sister wrote to the judge.

It also has a statement from a family friend, who happens to be a retired federal prosecutor (that's gotta have some weight...), that was also submitted to the judge;

"A retired federal prosecutor and friend of the Turner family, Margaret M. Quinn, asked the judge to consider the long-term damage inflicted by Turner’s conviction: limited job opportunities and the requirement to register as a sex offender.

“As I know you are aware, the collateral consequences of a conviction are staggering,” Quinn wrote, saying they go beyond his expulsion from Stanford.

She asked the judge to consider allowing Turner to counsel young men and “warning them about the devastating consequences of a single decision.” She suggested Turner could serve as a mentor."

Please keep him away from counseling other young men!!
