MISSING BROOKE BENNETT
June 30, 2008 - Afternoon

For Immediate Release: June 30, 2008​

As a result of this past weekend’s investigation into the disappearance of 12 year-old Brooke Bennett of Braintree, Vermont, the Vermont State Police and the FBI have concentrated their investigation efforts around the Jacques’ property in Randolph, Vermont. The Connecticut State Police and the Massachusetts State Police are assisting in the property search by providing a helicopter as well as additional K-9 units. The Vermont State Police Search and Rescue Team have been called in as well. The search will cover an extensive area.
In addition, the FBI has flown in additional resources.

They said that the family set up this account that they set up for her and changed the password when she started abusing it. It was accessed on 6-25 and says "brooke thinks she has them fooled and mood is satisfied. It's still a little odd and I wish we had more clarification on this.

At Jacques' home on East Bethel Road in Randolph, Vermont State Police are currently conducting a search of his house and property. About 12:30 this afternoon, a helicopter began circling the area immediately around his house, including his backyard, then widened its search area. The helicopter is currently parked in the side yard.

Vermont State Police officers wearing protective gear have been seen entering and leaving the home.

Police said earlier today that the investigation, which had centered around the Floating Bridge in Brookfield where articles of Bennett's clothing had been found last week, had shifted to Jacques' home and property. State Police from Connecticut and Massachusetts were assisting in the search, and additional K-9 units were being brought in, as well.

Unless the new charges against him have to do with another missing child...this has to be centered around finding Brooke. To read it in print really hits me in the gut tho.

They ALWAYS plead, "Not Guilty". This is standard. I am sure he either has an atty or the court has appointed him one. They would never let him plead, "Guilty".

I don't recall reading how the uncle is related to Brooke. I've read he's connect to Brooke from her mom's side, but not how. For some reason I don't think he's a blood uncle, but one through marriage.

I posted on the first thread last night that Jacques is married to Brooke's mother's sister. That is what I was told when the reporter told me that Jacques was arrested.
