We need to remember that family members have been known to read here, and we would not want to offend them. They are going through enough right now. Also he was convicted before Brooke was even born, so chances are Brooke's parents had no idea about his past. Remember he is related through marriage not blood, so chances are this was kept a secret.

That's what he was charged with, today. For 5 years, IIRC, since she was 9-10 yrs. old.

The other article says he can't make bail. So, he is there at least until tonight. I would hope there will be more charges levied against him by tomorrow since it does appear that there were other victims.

Was Storm Woodard saying Denise, the pervs wife was at the hearing with Cassandra, mom of Brooke?? Maybe there is another sister.....

No doubt in my mind that Cassandra knew the background of MJ.

Do we know how long Denise had been married to Jacques? If he'd only been out of prison a few years, perhaps they had not been married long and neither Denise NOR Cassandra knew of his RSO status.

Didn't someone mention that Denise wasn't his wife? Oh my goodness, there's been so much info today I can't keep everything straight...except one thing...poor Brooke is still missing. I hope and pray she's found soon.

One thing to remember is the judge set bail only for what he was charged with. She didn't set bail for anything else he may be connected to for which he has not yet been charged.

Right now, the charge that he went in front of the judge with was the agg sexual assault on a minor. He still can get more charges while he is incarcerated. I have been present more times than I can count when a person is incarcerated and then charged with more charges literally while they were with a bail bonds man signing papers for release only to be lead right back the cell.

Not to get off topic but I was talking about calling the family weird which is an opinion. I was not talking about the family dynamics which are an important part of the case.

I've been following this from the beginning and I had a funny feeling about the uncle, especially after they found her clothes near his home. Very scary and sad.

Your right that this Uncle is CREEPY. But I would go further and say not only that, but he is SICK, SICK, SICK!!

If it is true, that he has involved a family member into this sex ring, and that he was also part of this sex ring, he NEEDS TO BE IN :behindbar along with his cohorts so they can have all the sex they want!!

And I am sure that type of sex, won't be pleasurable! Which is what they all deserve!

Yes...Denise is his wife which would make her Cassandra's sister and MJ the brother-in-law/uncle of Brooke.

I have fretted and fretted over the info a lot of us have discovered. There was no obvious connection until today. Now, there is.

The one thing I am going to start by saying is that anytime a child is involved then the adults responsible for the child have to do the right thing. They need to protect the child against anyone who would harm them. There is no complying with sex offenders....never. You go to the police, you go to FBI, you go to the newspapers but you go. Dammit!

I wonder if MJ was related to the vic in 1993 as well? That also might be where family dynamics played a role.
