That was my impression as well. I called DCF about this. I think the children need to be checked on. I think anyone who can miss/ignore such obvious warning signs may not be taking proper care of their children even now.

Hello everyone,

I've been reading these forums for a few days now, pure speculation but here's what I think happened:

1) I think maybe the Uncle knows something about where Brooke was going/currently is - but is not directly involved.
2) I think when Brooke first came up missing, he realized due to his background and last seeing Brooke he would be the prime suspect, so to throw the police off the trail and/or make himself look innocent, he planted Brooke's clothing by the floating bridge. She spent the night at his house, he could easily have access to extra clothes.
3) This means maybe Brooke is still alive and lost/kidnapped/hiding somewhere, but where? with whom?

The Vermont State Police will have a press conference to update the media in reference to the investigation over the weekend into the disappearance of 12 year-old Brooke Bennett of Braintree, VT. Brooke has been missing since June 25th, 2008 where she was last seen in Randolph, VT.

As long as she is sharing with LE, it seems she is being extremely honest now with them. I hope it's not too little, too late.

Good job Cheri for calling DCF.....she needs the kids taken away ASAP before anymore damage can be done to them. She sounds like the type of woman who will stand by her man at any cost!

Welcome to WS, Merci! Anything is possible at this point as to where Brooke could be.

With other men being involved in such a sex operation, it puts Brooke in a position of being with any of them, in my opinion. Or they could have decided she was a "loose cannon" and decided to shut her up.

I believe that Uncle Creepy and his brother know basically what has happened to Brooke. I also believe they are responsible for it. However, if they left her for another man to abduct...they may not know the outcome.

Gagnon was arrested in Vermont by the FBI. Authorities will not say when or where that arrested occured. He is being held pending a court appearance Wednesday in federal court in Burlington. Charges against him will be made public at that time.

It is ALREADY too little too late! Look at what that husband put her child or children through for five years!! So she doesn't come clean until a girl is gone before she comes forward to help her child/children and her niece?!
