Good job Cheri for calling DCF.....she needs the kids taken away ASAP before anymore damage can be done to them. She sounds like the type of woman who will stand by her man at any cost!

DCF should have acted as soon as it was written on the page of the affidavit. Any children in direct contact with these men should be removed and interviewed immediately, imo.

some women are so "needing" a male in their life that they're willing to believe anything one says to them and to turn a blind eye to what normal women would feel in their gut isn't right. i knew one like this who ended up marrying a guy that was/is a RSO. i dated him a couple times until i found out myself...she started dating him after i dropped him. then she came crying to me how she found an email to him from a 14 year old. i told her i'd call the LE and report it while he was at work and let them pick up his pc and him. instead she ignored me and later married him. a few months later another phone call crying this time it was another email and even worse (won't go into that). she also had a 13 year old tell her she might as well move over because he was going to marry her. i wanted to report him since she wouldn't but since they were in another state and i was his ex i thought they might (he and his wife) would pull the i'm just the scorned ex deal. also i guess technically the only info i had was hearsay. i finally had to stop all connection with them. i know he kept telling her how his actions were just misunderstood when he was arrested the first time and he only pleaded guilty to save the child from having to go to court...yeah right if i'm innocent i'm going to plead guilty NOT!! he also was very involved in their church and so well thought of and swore he had changed....rolls eyes. makes you really want to smack these women upside the head and say GET A CLUE!!

So much is happening in this case today I want to sit glued to my puter & not miss a thing. But have 4 grandkids today so impossible......I'm outta here.

Its quite possible they were notified by LE and did become immediately active.

I couldn't tell by the conversation I had with the guy who took my call and I didn't ask the question. Just gave him my name, number, and address, told him what I'd read and how he could find it to read himself, and what my conerns are.

I don't know what the standard procedure is in these cases. Odds are DCF was probably already notified by LE and knew about this before talking to me, but for my own peace of mind I'm glad I made the call.

I am glad you did, too. People need to make sure DCF does their job in every state. Their record here is lousy.

You say he was working in the church which means he still has access to children and trusting families. To me, this is a nightmare scenario. If you know where he is...I would still report it. The church needs to be aware of his past history and his wife...well...I could say a lot about her and what I think needs to happen along with him.

i stopped talking with her and know they moved soon afterwards but not where to. but i do still think about it because a part of me keeps wondering if because i didn't report it did anything happen to another child. i have looked him up on the RSO and found him listed in a few states, he never stays in one place for long.
