If the Mother knew is it possible that's why they broke up :waitasec: After reading what Brooke wrote on her myspace it seems to me like she was sexually abused for a long time. The Mother's boyfriend might not be the first one who molested her. Not all Mothers know when their daughters are being abused However some do and they blame the daughter because they don't believe their boyfriend would ever do such a thing. It's easier for them to be in denial.

The step-father Ray Gagnon was living with Cassandra (mom) in Alabama from the time that Brooke was 3 until she was 9 when they moved back to VT. The past year and a half he has lived in TX, but frequently visits the family. The mom had a bf named Tim (according to BD who claims to know him and says he is a drunk) until Ray came back this time and she ditched him because Ray would be here. Ray admitted to having tons of child as young as 5 yo on his computer and various places. He also admitted having sex with RA and MJ at the same time. My guess is that he did in fact have sex with Brooke during those years. I believe it will begin to all come out as this case against her step-father grows. As far as the mom...same goes for her. We will learn how much she knew and when.

The entire family both sides knew about MJ's past history and convictions. The bio father tried to get the mom to keep her away from him to no avail.

I am positive he planned to kill her before he dropped her off at the store without a doubt.

I will be surprised to learn she fought up until she knew he was going to kill her. Then I bet she did everything she could to stay alive. Bless her heart.

If you read about what Brooke said on myspace it says she wanted to have sex with him. She even asked him to meet her. I doubt he killed her because she refused or fought back. I think she has been sexually abused for a long time. I agree that he probably planned on killing her though. IMO

Brooke didn't write those things. MJ and RG had access to her account and they wrote them! It was premeditated and a ploy to throw LE off. LE already determined it came from a computer in TX (RG's).

They groomed the other girl and started her out at 9 years old then stopped when she was 14 yo. Why do you think they would wait until Brooke was 12 and turning 13? I think she was in the program already for years.

I believe that the work on her MS page the day before she "disappeared" shows they planned to kill her if she resisted. And I believe she did fight back and that's why they killed her. I believe if she went along like the other girl(s) they would not have killed her, but they planned for either outcome..

That poor kid. My 14yo daughter is camping with friends, if she was home I don't think I could give her a good explanation about why I couldn't stop hugging her and telling her how much I love her and that she can always talk to me. I'll do that later this week when we go join up with them, and try to get her to understand why I tell her these things.

Yeah, you see what's under my 'hat' here?? "WS has changed the way I walk in this world".......here is another perfect example why.

Read the affidavits. Her myspace was altered by her uncle including the changing of passwords and timestamps. His ISP screwed that evil plan of his!

Need to say this, adnoid called me, to update me, knowing I had been following all day and got home, shocked to find out Brooke had been found. I didn't know. I got here, saw 21 pages. I pm'd adnoid, said "we need a forum"....adnoid had one set up in minutes...to my dismay, the title included "killed by uncle".....I broke down.

Thanks adnoid, #1 for calling me to discuss this case..after all you have done today in real life and here. Thanks posters for keeping Brooke's story alive and continueing to work on this.


In adnoid's and I conversation I told him right now, I wish I wasn't a mod....why?? I would do a shout out for all posters who could be w/in 50 mile radious of where safe might be dropped....let's go find it. Being a mod, can I say this. Adnoid says yes!

So...do we have posters in this area??????? The freakin' safe did NOT just disappear. OK crazy???? Hell yes...but, if we have peeps there, it can be found, IMO.

Chris, you know...up until a few hours ago I would have surmised that it was a breckenridge initiation gone bad...

Considering the high level of dysfunction in this family (extended, step and otherwise) and number of people involved I would even garner a bet that they either decided to step this ring up a notch with murder to either
a. silence the cousin victim or keep her in her place
b. silence b because she knew something she wasn't supposed to know
c. to make new types of video

I am not totally convinced that it was planned but it sure seems to be pointing that way due to the orchestration of the whole thing and, as adnoid mentioned....the fact that they had begun manipulating her myspace before the murder.

I'm in Texas...about 4 hours from San Antonio....I'm confused about the safe. It says the landlord threw it in a dumpster but the laptop wasn't found. Does that mean they found the safe?

I don't think the landlord should be believed, anyway. I think I read that LE was all over his house, today.
