On public indexes it shows the main person at the residence and sometimes it will list others that reside there. There are 5 listing for Alcide Jacques at the 1916 E Bethel location - on one of those listing it is attached to 37 other names. What I am wondering if it was a farm would they list all employees etc? Is it feasible for a farm to have that many workers? Some of the names have ages and they go anywhere from 25 to 65. When you click on the individual names it shows the person and another physical address, the address are from various states. If it is a farm to people come from other areas during certain seasons to work the farm?

I can't figure out Gagnon's role in all this...he appears to have been fairly cooperative with police. He's already admitted enough to put him in prison for a long time. Obstruction of justice, possession of child , rape of a 13/14 year old. This may be the extend of his involvement.

Wonder if there is a way to pull up the 1916 E Bethel on google earth and tell if it is a farm? I do not have much luck with google earth and when I tried I got a green blob basically and couldnt figure where the heck I was at.

The idea occured to me that Brooke had possibly seen one of MJ's racy text messages to AR, and was freaked out??

Could that be why phones were mentioned in emails?

Or another creepy aspect to the family dynamics.

Newbie here, been reading this entire subject from the beginning thread, (and have also perused WS off and on in the past).

I've got alot of reading to catch up on today though, I took a three hour break and now I'm way behind. :-D

Well, the phones were a big part in showing Brooke, that a guy wanted to meet her and hang with her for a party.

Gov. Jim Douglas, R-Vermont, said Thursday that whoever is responsible for Brooke's murder should face the most severe federal penalty-- the death penalty. The Governor also had strong words about Jacques' release 15 years ago, and called on the legislature to strengthen Vermont's sex offender laws.
His statement reads,

"As our hearts continue to ache for Brooke and those who loved her, I am confident that the person, or persons, responsible for Brooke's death will be brought to justice by Vermont's law enforcement community.
"If the U.S. Attorney prosecutes and convicts an individual, or individuals, for Brooke's murder, the most severe federal penalty available-the death penalty-should be sought.

Police say the Governor was in front of the Capitol Plaza Hotel on State Street, when a man dressed as Santa Clause stormed from the crowd and threw a pie in the Governor's face.
