Former Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff Ricky Edwards said Lavergne "has been looked at" during the investigation of those murders.

I assume he was referring to

"the other Jennings murders — Crystal Shay Zeno, Brittney Ann Gary and Necole Guillory"

Edwards said one reason Lavergne was considered in the case is because of his status as a sex offender.

So there are several reasons?

"Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's detectives continue to investigate the death of 19-year-old Sierra Bouzigard. Her body was discovered the morning of November 29, 2009 on the side of John Koonce Road."

It is important because Samantha Schauer is missing from 11/23/2009 in TX. I'm leaning towards the most recent reward post & the houmatoday information being correct & using 23rd. Thoughts?

I still think he was involved in the murder of Theresa Wren Gilcrease. There is a sketch of the suspect, but I cannot get it to display. Can someone look at the case and post the sketch of the suspect? I would like to know if anyone else thinks that this sketch looks like BSL. Please be honest.

The location is right -- she was found near LSUA which is on the highway from Leesville (Fort Polk) to his home in Church Point. He met her at a bar, killed her and then ran over her body. The date does not fit. Comments?

Agreed. I can't see BSL finding his way to the Bywater. He'd stick out like a sore thumb. If he did make his way down there, I think he'd be in a big hurry to find his way out. I sure would like to see Jessica's murder solved, though.

BTW, I updated the info on BSL's incarceration in the OP. I'd love to know if he was actually behind bars the entire eight years. I have a long list of missing/murdered in Texas, but the dates don't fit his timeline.

I strongly believe that the incarceration dates do not matter. I believe when they release what is found in the trailer we will find that he had a lot more freedom than we thought he had.

You're right. I found hardly anything & didn't find the sketch. So this is the last one & all that have been suggested are listed.

They move them around with they are overcrowded or underpopulated. It is normal. However, if you notice, he was finally moved where his family was. That is because family requests that he be moved closer to where they are so they can visit.

He also has more freedom when family knows the sheriff or the folks that work at the prison closer to where they are. So-so's cousin is the sheriff's niece, mom's brother-in-law is the deputy that governs visitation, yada-yada-yada. It is all who you know and who is family and in Louisiana that is just about everyone. That is why he probably did have a TWIC card and worked as a mechanic for the state and was NOT locked up--I will not believe he was until an official of the prison tells me directly that he was never allowed out of prison--and I would bet the farm that is not the case.

I am not saying he did not kill other folks, just there are so many possibilities we are going to have to limit. Obviously we should start close to home in Church Point and Lafayette since these are his known hunting grounds. As we figure out what was in the trailer, we will be able to expand his radius. I think probably we should develop a top fifty list. Put it in five columns based on: Location, age/sex of victim, method of killing and location/disposal of body. If anyone else has a better way or a better method of categorizing probable victims.....now's the time to share! The more the merrier in this particular project. We appreciate all input.

There are too many "deaths" that occurred and were followed by fire or suicide for an area the size of Church Point.
AND probably why no one is talking!!! Because they KNOW the last time BSL was "in jail" he was roaming around free.

I had been keeping track of location found if that is available. Not sure if it would be adding to much info or not. I was curious to see if there was a connection between where people are missing vs where people are found. Kwim?

Also, LP was about 10 years older than he is. Do you think we should increase the age range or typically does the preference stay the same as the perp gets older?

My list has about 130 names ranging from 1971-2011. It's information I compiled when we were putting together the I-45 forum.

I haven't been able to confirm that he was ever on work release. How about a furlough, though? A few hours on the outside would be plenty of time to work off some anger, kwim? Just speculatin'. Yes, it would be, or should be, part of the record. Unless I've missed something (quite possible), I'm unaware that anyone outside of the correctional system has actually seen his record. Louisiana Department of Corrections has confirmed locations and start/end dates of confinement only.
