Prosecutors say Savannah Monique Taylor intentionally drove her BMW onto a pedestrian path near the USS Recruit on Sept. 6, striking plants, a steel bench and the child, who was riding a scooter. The girl suffered a traumatic head injury and remains in critical condition at Rady Children’s Hospital.

This is very serious. Worried for the child hit by an out of control driver's car. I hope the child survives without long-term damage. Praying for the little girl and her family.

This is not the first alcohol incident for the driver. Two other prior alcohol-related cases involving physical attacks on family members and a partner are on record. IMO, she needs to be stopped for her own good, and locked up. MOO, she's done enough damage. Officers also reported finding a mostly empty bottle of Hennessy inside her car.

I want to know how the little girl who was hit by the car is doing, she & her family are in my prayers, but I have no way of getting an update on her condition. Don't have little girl's name. She suffered a traumatic head injury and was in critical care at Rady Children's Hospital here in San Diego. Please, if anyone gets any info, please share it here. ​

The driver, Savannah Monique Taylor, is being held without bail and will be due back in court Sept. 18.

I'm still searching for more current updates on the condition of the young girl hit by the car. I found her name is Olive T. and am keeping her in my prayers.

Hmm... when I looked up Savannah M. Taylor, DOB 5/12/2004, on Who's in Jail, I can see other charges and another case number having to do with battery and vandalism. I believe that was the prior events mentioned in the news report saying she had prior history. I won't post the case numbers here, but you can find them at the link below. I also looked up future court dates on the DA site.​

Judge revokes bail for driver in Liberty Station crash

Savannah Monique Taylor, 21, pleaded not guilty on Sept. 10 to two felony drunk driving charges involving the Sept. 6 incident.
