Stabbing victim runs to store for help after apparent road rage attack in SoCal mountain town.
A man was stabbed during an apparent road rage incident in Crestline, California, on Sunday, September 7, 2025, after a suspect, Darrell Darling, 29, argued with a female driver while the victim sat in the passenger seat. The victim exited the vehicle and began walking away, but Darling followed him, threatened to kill him, and struck him in the side with a knife. The victim ran to a nearby business for help, was treated on scene, and transported to a hospital, with his condition undisclosed. Darling fled but was later located on Old Waterman Canyon Road and taken into custody after a short vehicle pursuit; he was booked for attempted murder and made his first court appearance on Tuesday morning. Law enforcement is asking anyone with information to contact the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station at 909-336-0600 or submit anonymous tips to We-Tip at 1-800-782-7463 or www.wetip.com.
