Thoughts on WHY the young escapee took photos to show police: I wonder if in the past she tried to tell someone
about the abuse and they didn't believe her because she had no proof. She had nothing to convince that person
what was really going on in their home. Maybe it was a cousin at Disneyland, maybe it was the neighbor back in
Texas that picked her up on the road. Maybe it was an aunt, or grandmother. I believe she told someone before
and they blew her off. So this time she wanted Proof of the atrocities. IMO.

JMHO I think the young lady is smarter than they gave credit. DA said although they were home schooled 17 yr old lacked knowledge of basis stuff just because she didn't know what medication was. They may have used different word for that. Knowing you can use a phone to call 911 takes knowledge from somewhere. JMHO I have seen many adults that didn't realize you could use a cellphone unless it had service. (for real)

She may not have known the phone was disconnected. I truly don’t think these victims had all that much insight on how normal life works. I mean some of them didn’t know what toothbrushes, medicine, or police are. Maybe the oldest male victim knew that they could dial 911, but it could also be possible that the victim who escaped left on a prayer.

I am sure the time stamps will corroborate the victims stories and help put LT and DT behind bars for the rest of their lives.

I seriously doubt it was #8 who tried to escape in TX - she would have been way too young to be asking for an apartment and driver's license. I believe it was one of the older ones - in my opinion, #1. Now I happen to also believe that #1 was in on the escape by #8, so it is possible that she helped with the pictures - and perhaps SHE knew that without proof, nothing would happen. #8 was the one to escape, but I believe she admitted that they (not just she) had been planning this for two years.
As I said, I believe the escape was planned by a number of them, including the older ones, but that it was #8 who escaped thanks to opportunity - being in that front room where she could more easily get out undetected.

That old blog post from the cousin makes my heart happy. It means that I am not imagining things when I noticed the eldest daughter is standing with a closeness to her similarly aged cousin in the extended family photo.

Her song choices made me wonder if she was subtly asking for help. I don't think she would risk telling more and breaking the magic spell of the "good" times being had with extended family there.

I'm sure the kids were made to believe their lot in life was all of their own making. That'll probably even, dispicably, be the crux of the defense.

It seems they probably had just moved into the nice new Perris house, but may still have been in the Murrieta rental (which we haven't heard or seen much about, but may not have been as deplorable for all we know). I can't fault the cousin or her parents.

I like how PP said, DT & LT were/are con artists. They are responsible for torturing their children.

I hope the connection between the cousins can now continue to grow into something healthy and beautiful (despite what books the Uncle may have authored).

RBBM, the one that was said to not know what medicine was per the DA on 1/18/18 was the 17 yr old who escaped. That is the one I was speaking of. That is the one that had the phone. They have given conflicting accounts so again that is where I am getting my information to form my thoughts.

I am not victim blaming nor am I standing up for DT or LT. Just looking at all aspects of the information we are given.

It is confusing at best how they say how smart then not so smart. Also you have to look at when it was that it was stated 1/18/18, 4 days later. Yet the documents they filed were not correct on dates. They had to correct them in the First Amended Complaint filed 2/23/18.

The time frame for charges are 6/11/10 until 1/14/18. The only information/photos we have for that time frame are the CH7 Bankrupsy, cousin 2011 blog, the Disneyland photos from 2010-2015, Vegas photos, "Elvis" impersonator, 2 Vegas videos, oldest son going to community college document media obtained, couple people from school/school musical performance and neighbors from current home interviews with media. And what LEO & DA has said.

JMHO anything we hear is not going to be anything that goes against what they have in charges. But in the 2/23/18 hearing the DA said they have subpoena documents the Def has turned into the court. So that is some sort of documents in the case. I doubt the lawyer would turn something into the court if it were not some sort of factual information. There is going to be chain of custody of where they came from.

I personally like to see all the information in a case I follow. IF the documents that were given to the Court and subpoena by the court are medical records within the time frame that DA said they haven't seen it will make a difference to me. We only know what they looked like the last known photos we see. Not what they looked like on 1/14/18. They to me looked small then too. Depends on when and what they say. Going by the situation I was referring to from 2/23/18 it was turned over to the Court. If it was reciprocal discovery the DA wouldn't have to subpoena those documents would they? That is what both the DA and LT lawyer both stated they have done, and asked the Court to release those documents and for a stipulation of DT attorney to provide chain of custody. If reciprocal discovery wouldn't they just ask for chain of custody and not the actual documents release? I am still wondering about the escaping to place the call. They could made the same call at any time from within the home when the parents were asleep. The DA said they all slept through out the daytime.

Maybe that she not know the address?

If I understood correctly the LEO came to her then went to the home. Did she find the phone while they were packing? It needed to be charged to use so she would have had to charged it recently at least. So much misreporting -
