While it does seem that some of these kids had more access to outside resources than previously reported (cell phones, SM, knowledge of pop music/culture) it seems like it was severely limited and their general knowledge was intentionally stunted to keep them in line. Very difficult to read how awful it truly was.

Thanks for the updates!

It's sickening to read/hear but at least the siblings are free and D and L are on trial for their wrongdoings.

Campos: 17 yr old says her mother choked her after seeing a Justin Bieber video on a siblings cell phone. Says hurtful things was said to her and said "do you want to die and go to hell" as she was being choked. Believed she was going to die. Neck sore for next 2 days.

I hope Justin Bieber/his people reach out to this survivor (if they haven't already). Choked for being a teenage girl doing normal teenage girl things. *mad*

One daughter? they all looked malnutrition and underweight

I think they're either going through the rough dietary/weight health details for each sibling or just picking out a few for examples? I don't think it meant that only one of them was underweight and suffering from nutritive deficiencies.

The 22 yr old who is reported to have been chained up most consistently/longest period of time is the young man in the videos who had legs like sticks...he must have hardly walked to get muscle on his legs.

These parents were seriously Evil with a black heart and I think went off the deep end. Definitely went one flew over the cuckoos nest. I hope they don’t use mental illness as a defense.

This new site is seriously lagging on my iPad Pro. I have trouble replying I miss Tapatalk. I hope WS comes out with a mobile app.

They sound like control freaks. They both had enough intellect and knowledge of the world to know what they were doing was extreme and wrong. Imho.

I agree he’s the one you could see marks around his ankle. Poor kid took that abuse so long. I’m sick to my stomach hearing what was done to these poor children. I bet the Dad didn’t really have a gun but said that as a scare tactic to control them. This is probably happening all over the place just like the Fairfield, CA case with 10 kids.

I can't imagine what it's like for first responders to walk into a house like that.

Walsvick: City Day School has David Turpin as principal and address was the Turpin home in Murietta. Sandcastle Day School was established at the Turpin's home in Perris for 2014-2015.

Walsvick: Children were made to sit an upstairs room so they wouldn't be seen by neighbors not being taught anything according to the 17 yr old.

Walsvick: 17 yr old says her father called her up, and pulled her pants down and didn't like it. Father pulled pants down again and sat her on his thigh. This was interrupted by the mother coming home. Father told her to not tell anyone. She then set out to kill herself.

As if the physical abuse were not bad enough, it's just as bad these children were never properly educated. Some of what they've missed in cognitive development may never be recovered.

Walsvick: Says another daughter says it was father's idea to utilize chains. Everyone should be chained if things were being taken at the home she says David said. Mother didn't want that, just chain those who stole or she knew had stolen.

Walsvick: A 25 year old son was nervous and anxious would be an understatement. Said threshold of punishment from parents would be pushing either to the floor or across the room depending on who did it. They were also hit with a belt. If hit with buckle end skin would break.

Defense attorney objected saying the belt discipline happened in Texas not in California.
