911 call recording being heard in court by one of the Turpins daughter, the 17 year old. She identifies she lives in #Perris. She's struggling to give her address. Says she doesn't know anything about her streets. Has trouble understanding dispatchers commands at times.

The 17 year old says she left saying parents were abusive and says little sisters are chained up on their bed. Says there's 13 kids and mother and father. She identifies her clothing and is told to stay at a stop sign. Believes her father has a gun but never seen it.

She then talks about the other places she lived such as Texas. Says her mother doesn't like the kids and doesn't take care of them. Doesn't know much about her mother.

The 17 year old says the youngest child is 2 and is taken care of. She then identifies the rest of her siblings in the 911 recording.

She says she shares room with three little sisters. Says they are chained up to the bed. Says they are chained up if they do something they are not supposed to. Sisters wanted her to call someone tell them about this and the 17 year old called 911. She said sisters were crying

The 17 year old says she got a phone that her dad was going to throw away. Says she got it so she could call 911. Says she lives in filth and can't breath sometimes and they kids don't take baths. Says almost a year ago she last took a bath.

She says the kids don't go out of the house often. Says they don't talk to relatives. Says mother doesn't let aunt see them. Doesn't know where aunt lives. Says they moved around in California after Texas. Identifies Murrietta as another place of residence.

Deputy then arrives and the 911 recording ends.

Prosecution now calling second witness. Manuel Campos, deputy for @RSO. Met with the 17 year old at #Perris police station.

Campos: Appeared she was wearing a pink hat and jeans. Hair appeared to be unwashed and not bathed regularly, had dirt caked on and had an odor.

Campos: Her speech seemed to be like to be someone as younger than 17. Had trouble pronouncing words and was taught to call #Turpins Mother and Father, which she says was like the Bible.

Campos: Says 17 year old escaped through bedroom window and was "scared to death" and was the "worst thing she ever done". Says she told him she rarely went outside. Had trouble calling 911 because she was so scared and shaking.

Campos: 17 year old says she couldn't stand seeing her sister chained up and crying. Says mother was yelling at everybody and called one of the sisters the devil or worse than the devil.

Campos: Says daughter boldly spoke about her love of God, was a good Christian. 11 and 14 year old daughters were the ones chained up. That's being clarified. Says 17 yr old knew it was 2018 but didn't know month or day.

Campos: Brother had received a new cell phone. The 17 yr old got the old cell phone deactivated. Says she told him the phone could only call 911.

Campos: She took photographs of sisters chained so she could use it when calling for help. Chains were put tight and left marks on the wrists after the sisters slipped from them one day.

Campos: 17 yr old says she spent a lot of time 20 hrs a day with sisters. Not allowed to leave room without permission. Only allowed to leave to eat, brush her teeth, or go to bathroom.

Campos: Sisters were chained because they were stealing candy from the kitchen according to 17 yr old. She also said she never went to public school. Recalled going to a doctor in 2013. Last time before that as a baby the 17 yr old assumed. Also never been to a dentist.

Campos: 17 yr old says she had no friends. Each sibling had own bed in the room. The room had two bunk beds and a top mattress on the floor. There were two padlocks on the bed according to a picture being shown in court.

Campos: 17 yr old says she slept for 15 or more hours. Part of their "schedule". Children not allowed to exercise. She walked back and forth in bedroom for "exercise".

Campos: 17 yr old says if she left room, she would get in trouble with mother. Says one daughter slept in the hallway and not allowed in her room. Had problems with her back and head felt weird for sleeping so much.

Campos: 17 yr old says diet was no breakfast ever. Had lunch and dinner. Used to be separate meals but now combined because not enough hours being awake because of a "schedule" Ate peanut butter sandwiches and burritos. Eventually gage after eating many peanut butter sandwiches.

Campos: Siblings allowed to be outside for Halloween. Remembers going to Vega and Disneyland when she was 11. Says her room was dirty and lived in filth and smell so bad she couldn't breathe. Stuck head out of the window for fresh air. Not allowed to do that.

Campos: 17 yr old says one of her sibling was thrown down the stairs while living in Murietta. Says parents treated them well during Christmas and allowed out of rooms more. Tried to feed them better. Lasted from 2 day to 2 weeks.

Campos: 17 yr old says her mother choked her after seeing a Justin Bieber video on a siblings cell phone. Says hurtful things was said to her and said "do you want to die and go to hell" as she was being choked. Believed she was going to die. Neck sore for next 2 days.

Campos: 17 yr old able to access social media thanks to a sibling and credits her. Everything she knows is thanks to her sibling and feels she has nothing in her brain. Says she made a friend on Twitter who was in India.

Campos: 17 yr old says father pulled her pants down and had her sit on his lap. Says "I don't like that stuff" and tried pushing away pulling her pants up. Pants were pulled up as mother was coming upstairs. Father warned her to not tell anyone about this.

Campos: 17 yr old says father tried to force kiss her multiple times, the last time she was 15 or 16.

Defense attorneys object...as the timeline of possible sexual assault could have happened in Texas, in a separate jurisdiction. Relevance being debated.

Defense Attorney asking for a mistrial, says it prejudicial to not get fair preliminary hearing.

Judge is asking prosecution to present the evidence and will determine what should to struck from the record. Tell prosecution to proceed.

Defense now questioning Campos. Talks about scar on 17 yr old's foot but due to an accident not abuse. Says 17 yr old had not other scars or bruises or broken bones.

Defense asking Campos who responds saying she had one friend on social media, familiar with CPS, and scar wasn't from abuse and had time to be alone when both parents were not home. Defense is trying to downplay some of the #Turpin abuse.

Defense getting deputy to say the father never chained any siblings himself, at least to what 17 yr old said.

Inv. Salsbury is back on the stand. Says he spoke with Louise #Turpin and David #Turpin for an interview.

Investigator is describing the grade level of one of the siblings. Said she had trouble with a lot of words in including "said". Didn't believe she could distinguish "Texas" as either a country or a state. All according to the 12 yr old daughter. #Turpin

Investigator says 12 yr old told her they could leave room to eat, or go to the bathroom. Mother would pull hair if they drew outside the lines while drawing. Only made it to letter J in the alphabet.

Investigator says some older sibling were "hall monitors" to make sure candy wasn't being taken from mother's room. #Turpin

Investigators said meals said older sister prepared meals and children come out one at a time, eat standing up, and drink faucet water standing up and then returned to the rooms.

Investigator says older sister would call them one by one before getting meals. 12 yr old says she had no taken a bath for a while.

Investigator: 12 yr old told him she was caught in her mother's room before. Her mother grabbed by her neck and hair forced her on the ground and go underneath bed to retrieve item she dropped. Lots of spiders and spiderwebs under bed and was bitten.

Investigator: Pinched and choked by her mother. Knocked them on their head. Witnessed other siblings being choked. Says she was taking bath and needed to go the bathroom. Mother got upset and grabbed 12 yr old's neck and lifted her. #Turpin
