katydid------------these people aren't wired like we are. It's human nature to try and understand why they do what they do, especially when a defenseless baby is involved, but their minds don't work like a normal mind does. They have no shame. They have no conscience. They have no little voice saying this is a really bad fu^***ng idea.
We can't understand them. We just have to kill them.......much like cockroaches and flies. One at a time...as they surface.
IF it would quiet down a bit , we will settle a bit --I promise you , nojoke, when I heard some car backfire tonight , I was more aware , then thought please its a car backfiring , but then it happened again, 40 seconds again, and I am thinking that sounds like all the damn gunfire i have listened to the last 6 weeks.
and I told myself if I hear sirens I am switching to local news all is well- its normal
until Boston I had never hears a real gun before - and they do not sound at all like in the movies or tv - they are agiating.
Now if we dont have a break between attacks that could become a real issue
Imam pushes Muslims to monitor for radicalization
ROOSEVELT - A Roosevelt imam is calling on Muslims to get more involved in helping track others who may have potentially radicalized.
Isa Abdul Kareem believes all Muslims on Long Island should pay close attention and look for behavioral changes in fellow followers of Islam.
"Who would better be able to notice that than the Muslims who are around him, who pray with him, who live with him, who see him every day?" asks Karehem. "We could spot the change in our Muslim brother much quicker than let's say the FBI or any other intelligence group."

Yes I agree. I once screamed when a bus backfired but I am just high strung. But after 9/11 I had panic attacks. I also couldn't breath when I saw planes coming in for landing. I lived in Queens I saw LaGuardia and JFK traffic all day. And it was shortly after 9/1, maybe a few weeks or months later that an airplane destined for the Dominican republic filled with families on trips home for Christmas crashed in Queens, landed on houses. I thought Bin Laden was back. I was jumpy for years. I think alot of us inhabitants of New York that were only affected peripherally by 9/11 also still suffered from mild PTSD. Now Terrorism is global, we all see it first hand from far off cities in our country and we are becoming traumatised in much the same way. Watch out for our children. My children were 2 and 6 on 9/11. They have grown up with the knowledge that some people hate them for no good reason. Those of you with young ones, this is a tough job. Preserving their innocence, yet preparing them for the new reality.IF it would quiet down a bit , we will settle a bit --I promise you , nojoke, when I heard some car backfire tonight , I was more aware , then thought please its a car backfiring , but then it happened again, 40 seconds again, and I am thinking that sounds like all the damn gunfire i have listened to the last 6 weeks.

I have said similar. You said it better. It is late. I'm signing off in a few. Pleasure to exchange ideas with you and some others tonight. With all due respect Madeline, this nostalgic vision of imigrents of old, with hearts full of hope and goodwill, simply does not apply to the current crisis we are facing. Rose colored glasses regarding Islamic Muslims will not help you discover whether your new neighbor is, or is not, (yet?) radicalized.
I can also assure you, "few, (thousand)" as you put it, is not even ball park...
It's late, and I'm tired... I swear it gets to be like trying to keep sheep from being led to slaughter...
This is the first piece of intelligent thinking that I have heard!
Let's hope more imam's call for their mosque to become active and alert on fellow Muslims! It is apparent the USA needs them to be their eyes and ears. This is not said in a snarky way! If a person(s) is not suspicious, as these two apparently were not, what is there to call attention to them?
Perhaps one thing our government can do is pay close attention to where new mosques have been built, and monitor those cities where these mosques do not fit with the low Muslim population. What is going on that small cities have been chosen to build these expensive mosques? It can't be good. . . Very suspicious!!
She is more emotionally disturbed than physically, Kondoker said of his wife. This is unbelievable to imagine.
I have a feeling it's going to be harder to heal emotionally too.

The bolded sentence above - yes, it is going to be a very long road to heal emotionally! To see one person shot and killed is traumatic, but seeing 14 co-workers killed as you are shot numerous times has to be a horrifying life changing experience!
These injured people need our prayers, thoughts, good wishes for a healthy recovery. As we feel for the families and friends of those killed, let's remember the injured ones as they must recover physically and mentally.
I can think of few better ISIS recruiting tools than simply reposting this kind of dehumanizing hateful rhetoric.
I felt the same way after 9/11. People i knew died in the towers. I did not go back into nyc for many many years. I used to go in alot before that. Last year i was still afraid yet my SO plays blues there several times a month. I finally overcame it... i will not allow it to happen again. Yes i am nervous but i will be at bb kings, the iridium, etc all soft tourist targets. I am also planning on touring in paris with him on his next trip.Do people really understad itt's these off shoot terrorists tthat scares me most. ISIS or Al Queda may nott have specifcally planned and sannctioned tthese attacks (and the ones yet tto come) but we need to be weary of tthese sympathizzers ad wanna be ISIS people. Our locall high school foottball team is playinng at Dallas Cowboy stadium ttomorrow and it scares the crap out of me thatt my son wants to go there annd watch the game.
It scares me to go to the mall for Christmas shopping. I didn't do black friday shopping because these are obfious targes. I don't wannt tto cower but i don't want to put myself and my family out there for easy pickins either. If it cann happe in San Bernarding, it cann happen in small ttown Texas. we gottta be vigilannt. MOO
Beyond the physical, how must it feel like to have a stranger try whole heartedly to shoot you. Try to feed kill you. KILL you, just because he finds you dirty, unworthy, condemned and beneath him and you never even met him before. Illuminating isn't it?The bolded sentence above - yes, it is going to be a very long road to heal emotionally!
