This is so sad....
I know the homeless are invisible but I would think there would be some kind of emergency service at the shelters to help someone pregnant and homeless.
It's odd, maybe she didn't know it was time to get some medical attention til it was too late I don't believe she would have been refused at clinic or ER in that condition. Anyone know ?
She would not have been refused. If someone would have called her an ambulance, she would have been taken to an emergency room or OB triage unit. It's odd, maybe she didn't know it was time to get some medical attention til it was too late I don't believe she would have been refused at clinic or ER in that condition. There are emergency social services available in my county (CA) for expectant mothers. Sadly, there are always some who will refuse services. Some because of their lifestyle (drugs or alcohol) or mental illness.I know the homeless are invisible but I would think there would be some kind of emergency service at the shelters to help someone pregnant and homeless.
