Last seen in Del Rey Oaks (Monterey) June 7th at 5 p.m. wearing navy blue gym clothes. He drives a steel blue 2015 GMC Terrain SUV.

Facts provided by family on social media:
- 6 feet tall
- 180 pounds (muscular build)

I can confirm through a friend that he was formerly in the Navy. He was working as a delivery person at the time of disappearance. He was not at work when he went missing.

Why is he missing from 6 different areas? Where does he live?

He's missing from Seaside, CA specifically. I may have listed it incorrectly if it's just meant to be one place and not a region.

He is a big fit fellow. I hope he is home safe in a jiffy. Peace to all hearts

Updated information from KION news. Sounds like there may be mental health concerns. That being said, I hope they're able to get cell tower pings for a location if the phone was on this whole time and ringing.

SEASIDE, Calif. (KION) UPDATE 6/14/20: It's been a week since 27-year-old Aryton "Aaron" Reed was reported missing by his family.

"I was nervous, I was scared," Reed's aunt, Lynn Vazquez-Reed, said. "I was like, 'What? What’s going on?'"

Family members said they haven't had any contact with Reed.

Sunday, June 7 ,was the last time Reed's mother said she saw him. She said she assumed the 27-year-old left that afternoon for his part-time gig with DoorDash. But he didn't come home that night.

She said his friend reported seeing him at the Chipotle in downtown Monterey around 7 p.m.

"Then, when I texted him the next day, I didn’t get a response," Reed's mother, Ramona Olaeta-Reed, said. "And continued to text and everyone was texting and phoning him and we didn’t get anything."

“He left with the clothes on his back," Vazquez-Reed said. "Literally with the clothes on his back. He didn’t pack anything.”

The Monterey High School graduate was a running back on the football team. And family said he kept in shape throughout his military career.

He left the Navy earlier this year, just as COVID-19 hit. His mother said he had plans to become a firefighter, but those were put on hold because of the pandemic. So this was a transitional time in his life.

"He was depressed all last week—the week before," Olaeta-Reed said. "I noticed a depression."

"He didn’t do his normal routine," Vazquez said. "Like, get up at 5 and do his workout. He stopped doing that."

Reed's family said he was already a reserved person, but they noticed that he'd been even quieter lately.

"He’s a high-achiever and he sets high goals for himself and some of those goals weren’t met," Olaeta said.

So the search continues, and Reed's family said they just hope he's okay.

Seaside Police ask that anyone with information about Reed's disappearance gives them a call at 831-899-6748.

PREVIOUS STORY: Seaside police are asking for help as they look for 27-year-old Aryton "Aaron" Reed.

Police said Reed was reported missing Sunday.

KION spoke to Jenelle Newman, who identifies herself as Reed's cousin, and says Aaron's mother contacted the Seaside Police Department, but they felt that because he is an adult, he could be "voluntarily" missing and would be unable to help.

Newman said they were able to contact a friend of Reed's who said they saw him at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Chipotle by Trader Joe's in Monterey. They were not sure if he was working on an order delivery or if he was there for himself.

The family has still not heard from Reed, according to Newman, and his phone was apparently ringing up until today. They believe his battery may have died and say it is unsettling.

Damn. Local news channel ran a story a few minutes ago. He's been found dead. No details yet on what happened. The area he was found is very random. It's an office park. Makes me wonder if he was doing his delivery work at the time after all? I'm not reading "self-harm" into this location.

Looks like Peninsula Crime Watch account had activity last night on this story and the family confirmed today via social media.
