Woman arrested for allegedly kidnapping boy, trespassing on school campus

A 56 year old woman used the momentary inattention of a little boy's father to attempt to kidnap him. She was wearing lanyards similar to the ones worn by teachers at Cooper Elementary school, where the victim's father was dropping off his older brother.

She approached the child and took him by the hand, telling him that she was taking him to school. She then began to walk away from campus, acting as if she knew him (calling him Bryan, which was not his name).

The boy's father noticed and attempted to retrieve the child, whereupon Ms Caringal insisted she was a teacher and threatened to call police. Other adults on scene did call the police and Ms. Caringal fled the scene. She lived near the school.

Wow what an unusual and scary story! On a school campus, in front of the parent, that’s so brazen. Does this woman have a history of mental illness? Scary

man I wouldn't be adverse to the dad punching her really hard in the head and maybe knocking some sense into her
I mean if he had've, who could blame him? gotta do what ya gotta do to save your kid from being kidnapped
