Found Deceased CA - Alexander Morales Quiroz, 77, San Bernardino, 29 May 2017

Mr. Quiroz was last seen May 29 at his home. He left to get gas and stop at Smart-N-Final. He has a medical condition that requires him to use oxygen daily.

Quiroz is described as Hispanic, 5-foot-9, 240 pounds with black thinning hair and a grey beard.

He was last seen wearing a mint green button-up shirt. He was driving a blue Chrysler Pacifica with the California license plate number 7XUK482.

“He doesn’t have dementia or Alzheimer’s,” Alexander’s daughter Kathleen said. “But he needs oxygen every night, and his doctor warns that he could become impaired if he goes without it for a greater period of time.” Quiroz did not have his cellphone with him, according to a San Bernardino police news release.

“We received notification that the California Highway Patrol found his car parked along Old Highway 15 in the Cajon Pass yesterday at 2:45 p.m.,” San Bernardino police Lt. Mike Madden said Friday. “When they ran the plate, they saw that it was to a reported missing person.”

CHP officers searched the immediate area for the missing San Bernardino man.


“As the officer was out investigating he searched the nearby embankment and Mr. Quiroz was found in the grass along the embankment,” Madden said.
