19-Year-Old Man Shot to Death in Carson
Authorities found a man shot to death in a residential area in Carson early Saturday just as an investigation into another fatal shooting less than 3 miles away continued for a third week.

Detectives responded to the 18300 block of Milmore Avenue at around 1:15 a.m. after receiving a call about a gunshot victim, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Exodus Joseph Foisia, 19, of Carson died at the scene of the shooting, Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner Coroner Lt. David Smith said.

The shooting happened a day after authorities announced a $20,000 reward in an April 16 shooting in the 400 block of East Carson Plaza Drive. In that case, officials reported finding a 32-year-old Las Vegas man shot in the neck and torso inside a parked vehicle near a number of businesses.

Detectives are looking for a woman and her ex-husband in connection with that shooting, along with their 15-year-old daughter, whose disappearance triggered an Amber Alert.

I have a feeling she’s alive and being hidden with those two in Mexico. Can’t imagine what she’s going through, and how selfish of them to make so many decisions to ruin this young girls life. Hope she is found and gets to go home to safe people that surround her with love- not fear and murder

Suspect in Deadly Carson Shooting Arrested in Mexico; Female Accomplice and Teenage Girl Still Missing

A man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in Carson has been arrested in Mexico, while the man’s ex-wife, who is also suspected in the killing, and her 15-year-old daughter remained missing, authorities.

Roman Cerratos, 39, is accused of the April 16 shooting death of Jeffrey Appel, 32, of Las Vegas, in the 400 block of East Carson Drive, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

He was apprehended in Mexico and returned to Los Angeles County on Friday night via LAX, FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said.

Roman Cerratos was accompanied by an FBI agent to the United States. He was turned over to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department after he arrived to Los Angeles International Airport Friday from Guadalajara.

Authorities are still searching for the 15-year-old girl and Mercado, investigators tell Eyewitness News.

"We had information that they worked together at some point in Colima, Mexico. We believe they also had traveled from Vallarta, Mexico. At this point, their whereabouts are unknown. We're hoping that this media attention... that she'll take note of it and maybe surrender, turn herself into a consulate or embassy in Mexico," said FBI agent Scott Garriola.

The FBI is not saying how Cerratos was captured.

Man Charged With Kidnapping, Murder 2 Months After Body Was Found in Carson
A man accused of killing another man whose body was found in Carson in April has been charged with kidnapping and murder, officials announced Tuesday as the search for the suspect's ex-wife, who's also wanted in the case, and her missing teenage daughter continues.

Roman Cerratos, a 39-year-old resident of Mopua, Hawaii, was also charged with one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. He faces special allegations that he personally used a handgun and a knife in the crime, prosecutors said.

Cerratos could face life in state prison if convicted as charged, the District Attorney's Office said.

Redondo Beach Teen Found After Being Reported Missing With Her Mother, Who’s a Suspect in Carson Homicide

A teenage girl last seen with her mother, who’s a suspect in a deadly stabbing in Carson in April, has been found, authorities confirmed Wednesday.

Hallelujah! I was so afraid that Cerratos had done something really bad to them. Whew, so glad Alora is safe!

A few more details from the article:

Maricela Mercado and her daughter, 16-year-old Alora Benitez of Redondo Beach, were detained Tuesday in Chihuahua, Mexico and deported to the U.S. after they entered the country illegally, the Sheriff's Department said.

They were taken to the port of entry in El Paso, Texas and handed over to U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents. Per a warrant issued in Los Angles County, Mercado was arrested by police in El Paso, where she remains in custody until her extradition to California.

The FBI has taken custody of Benitez until she can be reunited with her family, the Sheriff's Department said.
