my screen shot did not show up properly, dang it. sorry about that
Looks like they found the coordinates to the phone in an empty field, not the phone itself. Kind of misleading choice of words by them.
Please note this very specific line in the press release. The phone could have easily been at the boyfriend's house when it pinged. Please someone explain to me how it suddenly ended up by the truck. HINKY!!!!!!!!

Possibly three counties at play here: Sutter, Butte, and Yuba, as well as the Gridley-Biggs Police Dept. The PR indicates that Sutter and Butte counties conducted aerial searches and the GBPD has done much of the investigating work. Glad to see them cooperating!
Yes that's correct. I live in Sutter County and it's possible she's still in the area. I'm also wondering if they found evidence in the car such as blood.
They also say that it was turned into a cellular location, could be the carrier, in Yuba City. I wonder what was found first and if it was the same person who reported the truck's location. So many questions.Another article about the cell phone, turned in by a local resident.
"Yeoman's Toyota Tacoma truck was located near Pennington Road in the Live Oak area about 5 p.m. Monday by a citizen. Also on Monday, a citizen called the Gridley-Biggs Police Department to report finding a cell phone in the general vicinity of the truck.
The phone turned out to belong to Yeoman."

Yes that's a boat ramp down there. Not 100% sure if they close off the area with gates at night to keep cars from entering there is one that has a stop sign on it. There is a guy that lives there in an RV, he works for the recreation area, he collects the fees.Kind of weird that where the truck went off the road is about where you would try to turn on that U that goes right down to what is that? A boat ramp?
