My guess is that is it just scammers preying on the family of the missing - it wouldn't be the first time. I hope they catch whomever it is.

I did not see that coming. How come they waited till Tuesday to text? Do you really think she was kidnapped?

Seems like it could be someone trying to distract and cover up?
Or, a very unorganized kidnapper?

Either someone put her truck there or she ran off the road and was picked up (kidnapped) by someone that night.
If someone put the truck there, they needed an accomplice to drive them home or they hitchhiked or walked out of there.
If she ran off the road, it seems she would use her cell phone and call for help rather than walk up to the road late at night but she could have flagged down the wrong person for help.

I have no good reason for her cell phone to ping Sunday near the house she was last seen.

Investigators have created casts of the foot prints. That lead away from the truck.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict the footprints are too large to be hers.

It's an 18 minute drive more or less from the Romero St. to the levee.

Surveillance video. Please note the timestamp is an hour behind. Sources said they saw her leaving at 11 PM in Yuba city. It was barely going to be 11 PM when she was spotted by camera on the levee.:(:(:(:(:(

Sadly the car is spotted, not her. But great find.

Strange though. Why would you they use the blinker? If it was her and she was trespassing the blinker is silly and if its someone wanting to hide her car why the blinker?

On same post, Tom Miller, posted another video with different angles of the vehicle before it reached the levee. I agree the blinker is odd.

So who are the sources? But they saw her leaving Yuba at 11, yet she was spotted on the camera on the levee before 11? I dunno something doesn't make sense here.

Obviously the shoe prints are of bigger feet IMO. If they weren't what would be the point in making casts?

Not getting a good feeling about this. Anything on the cell phone yet? I wonder if she was on her parents cell phone plan? If so it should be easy to gather data from Sprint I would think.

Nothing has been said about the cell phone information. Sources were not disclosed, but seems that they were possibly lying.

Shoe size and possible shoe tread on the sole could give them the shoe brand. Evidence in case they find the perp's shoes.

I'm just realizing this, if her vehicle was on the levee on Thursday and it most likely stayed there until Monday night. What was her cell phone doing in Yuba City on Sunday...where she was last seen...and it pinged a tower.

Those are nice cameras, following the car like that. What are the odds there would be cameras to capture that.

This is off subject because in no way am I suggesting this is what is happening but has there ever been a case of someone missing that was faked? Either for fame, money etc?

I believe there was a case before about a little boy and the parents lied about his kidnapping. Here in Live Oak things like this don't happen, it's a small town and so is Gridley. Yuba City is bigger compared to the other two. Not saying there isn't violence, there is, mostly drugs and gangs.

Why yes..there has been such cases...

But even with the hour time stamp off she is not where she was seen by witnesses at around 11pm, or her car isnt? It is about 15 minutes away correct according to the video?

  • #159
Yes, so on the video it say 9:55 but in reality it's 10:55
Yes which would mean if by some chance it is her she left closer to 10:15 ish most people would not round all the way up to 11. But if that last person is innocent then they may have just not payed much attention to the time she left.

That's another factor.. Sense of time and not accurately remembering if it was closer to 10 or closer to 11.
