Thanks for the ideas/info everyone.

I called Starbucks and Walmart but they said they couldn't deliver. So I then called Trader Joe's. The store manager said they couldn't take credit cards over the phone for an order, but she said they could donate about 10 cases of water and trail mix and drop it at the search center today. I told her that would be great and gave her tel # and address of search center. She was really nice.

Soyesterday, I tried to answer your questions as best I could based on what I’ve read. Answers are in blue.

I can't remember....are there houses all lined up on her walk to school? See map. The total distance of the route Amber takes from her home to the location of the school (1535 N Broadway) is less than a mile, north on Paradise Street, West on Vista Avenue and finally South on Broadway walking toward the school. It was here where two parents in different cars reported seeing Amber walking on the west side of the street.
Her parents are divorced right? Yes
And her Mom has a boyfriend? Yes
Did she live w/ her dad or her mom? Her mom (at least she was at the time)
Does her dad have a girlfriend too? Yes
And hasn't the mom and boyfriend taken a lie detector test? In other developments in the case, Amber's parents, who are separated, along with the mother's boyfriend, all voluntarily took and passed polygraph tests, the North County Times reported. They have been ruled out as suspects, Lt. Bob Benton told the paper.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29306087/
She was last seen at a certain place....just a few hundred yards from the school right? Yes
Did she look like she was walking TOWARDS the school or AWAY from it? Toward the school at about 7:10AM; kind of jogging/hurring; near the driveway that leads past a school bus maintenance yard and down to the farmyard.
Didn't her mom say she talked to her in the morning...was that by phone or was she w/ her mom?
That part confused me....cuz i was thinking i read that her mom said that Amber would call everyday after school, but she didn't get the phone call that day, so she went (?) home and heard the recorded message on the machine? Was it on the mom's machine?
Or did she go to Amber's dad and hear it on his machine?
If i read right, that she calls her mom everyday after school, then i'm assuming she was calling from her dad's house?
Or was it just her cell phone?
CARRIE MCGONIGLE, MOTHER OF MISSING 14-YR-OLD, AMBER DUBOIS: I went to work early that morning. I saw her before I left for work, and I went in and I told her she was getting her baby lamb, that she was -- been wanting for a year to -- she guaranteed she`d take care of it. I went over and gave her a hug, a kiss, told her I loved her and told her I`d see her later that evening.
GRACE: Miss McGonigle, when did you realize Amber was missing?
MCGONIGLE: About 4:30.
GRACE: Oh, no. So the whole day had gone by before anybody realized?
MCGONIGLE: Well, yes. She -- called me when she gets home from school. And when she didn`t call, I was at work, I called her cell phone and it went straight to voice mail. And then I left work. Thinking she was.
GRACE: So.
MCGONIGLE: Thinking she would be at a friend`s house, or, you know, just being a teenager. But there was no sign of her.
GRACE: So Mr. Dubois, the whole day passes and no one realized she was gone, the school didn`t call home or anything?
DUBOIS: The school called and left a message at the house. And once Carrie got home, she listened to the message and received it. But, yes, we had no -- no notification that.

Did she leave alot earlier than usual? One parent/witness says she was there a little earlier than usual (~7:10AM)
Why? See above. If her mom told her that morning she could have the baby lamb, I think it’s possible she left a little early with plans to stop by the farm before the first bell at 7:30. She also sent 4 text messages to her grandmother at 6:45AM and texted a friend before heading out the door to school. Maybe she texted them to tell them she was getting the lamb?
Why did she have to walk alone? I don’t think it’s uncommon for kids that age to walk to school alone. I found this in an article: McGonigle said she and her daughter had just talked about what the teen would do if someone tried to grab her. "She said she would kick and hit him," she said.

I just got off the phone with ReLady. She just went past the command center, where Mark Klaas and others are organzigin today's search effort.
She also noticed that there is a taped off area by an aqueduct that has been a dumping place for bodies in the past. She has no idea if it is related at all.

Called Peter's Pizza - the number 760-738-8650 did not work?
Dipper's Pizza was not very helpful at all.

Still working on Subway and Von's. I can't find a phone number for Von's at 330 W. El Norte Parkway - which seems to be the closest one to the search site.

You ever have those days when you just feel totally ineffective?

Salem

Subway is trying to get permission from the area manager and will call me back to let me know if they can help.

Cloudajo - could you post the address of the Trader Joe's so that we can send a Thank You note, please?

So far - they are all we have. I'm still working with Subway, but there is no way they will make lunch time, maybe the end of the day.

Thanks,

Salem

If anyone wants to call the Subway at 714-883-6076, I think they will come through for us if they see we really would appreciate their help.

Any food for 4:30-5:00 when the searchers come back in would be appreciated. And anything for tomorrow would also be appreciated!

Thank you for all you help!

Okay - Vons is a no go. You have write to them in advance and email is not sufficient.

Quiznos is going to call back about donating for tomorrow lunch.

I need help guys - ideas? Anyone?

Thanks,

Salem

Hi Salem, thank you. I called several places that don't deliver. I spoke to someone at Rountable Pizza who said they donated 8 pies today. So I called Rebecca and she said they are covered food-wise for today. She said they could use some "hearty" food for tomorrow.

I called Roundtable Pizza back and ordered some club sandwiches for tomorrow, to be delivered around noon. They are at (760) 489-0191.

cloudajo - THANK YOU! I am striking out all over the place here. I am so glad you are having some success. I have talked to Quizno's about tomorrow and they are supposed to call back and let me know.

If you will get addresses for me for the places that you have gotten to donate, etc. I will mail Thank You cards. I will also do a Letter to the Editor for the local papers, publicly thanking them.

I thought you must have gone to work or something :)
