Thanks Nancy..then I hope they are checking into this..if one kid was recently taken into Mexico, it's not a stretch to think Amber was taken by the same people or associates...

There have been quite a few attempted kidnappings of young girls and women near Escondido that could be related to criminal activity in Mexico.There are also a number of illegal camps in San Diego County that bring girls as young as 12 from Mexico to work as prostitutes.

Hello all, I have been on the Brittanee Drexel board and decided to peek over here. I had a thought- Now that they have found him, maybe there will be some clues that will move along this investigation? I did hear on CNN this morning that they are not yet releasing information on the suspects or motive. Based on the 2 posts above you really have to wonder if there isn't something in common. I know the boy is only 3 but maybe once he starts talking they can see what he may have seen there and show him a picture? I may be far off but anything is worth a shot when a child is missing right?

"Amber's Lamb" To Be Auctioned
The day 14-year old Amber Dubois disappeared, she was carrying a check for $200 to buy a lamb. She never made the purchase.

Amber vanished on February 13th as she walked to Escondido High School and hasn't been seen since. But what has become of the lamb, who Amber had named 'Nanette'?
In the month's that Amber disappeared, Nanette has been cared for by the Agricultural club at Escondido High School, according to Amber's father Maurice Dubois. The school has incurred the cost of boarding and caring for the lamb.

Now, the plan is for the lamb to be auctioned off at the San Diego County Fair in Del Mar. Any profits made from the sale will be given to the Amber Search Center.

There is at least one person who is hoping she can win the auction.

Amber's niece Kelly is hoping to raise enough money to buy the lamb herself and keep it in the family. She says if she's able to raise enough money, she'll keep the lamb at a farm or petting zoo with the hopes of one day giving it to Amber.

How sweet of Amber's niece. I was hoping that the lamb wouldn't be slaughtered. That's Amber's lamb. I hope one day she's able to see him and take care of him like she planned.

Child molester strikes at two local Wal-Marts

SAN DIEGO — Police are asking for the public's help to find a man who molested two children at San Diego-area Wal-Mart stores in April and May.

In the first incident, the man fondled a girl at the Wal-Mart on College Grove Way in Oak Park in the early evening of April 1. The second occurred at the Wal-Mart on Shawline Drive in Kearny Mesa on Sunday afternoon, police said.

Neither girl, who police said are 5 and 6, was seriously injured. Both were separated from their parents in the store when the man approached them.

The man is described as white, 25 to 30 years old and about 6 feet tall, with a medium build and short, brown hair. He wore a blue, short-sleeved shirt and jeans.

In the second incident, the man was seen getting into a 1998 to 2006, full-size, four-door truck similar to a Ford crew cab. The truck is dark, possibly burgundy, and has a silver or chrome storage box in the bed.

Attached is a compare of pics of pickup truck from Amber's case and pics of the Walmart molester suspect (zoom in for better view).

I don't think they are the same although as we know truck accessories can be modified and color distorted by video. But it's worth a check. Also, pics of Walmart molester suspect are pretty good, so those along with truck will hopefully get this creep nabbed soon.

Man tries to kidnap teen girl in Encanto

Truck Seen In Video May Link Amber Dubois, Molestation Cases

A four-door, burgundy-colored pickup truck may link the disappearance of 14-year-old Amber Dubois three months ago to the sexual molestation of two little girls at a pair of Wal-Mart stores in San Diego, it was reported today. Surveillance tapes from the two Wal-Marts showed a large, burgundy pickup truck that also may have been spotted on tapes recorded three months ago near where Dubois disappeared, The San Diego Union-Tribune said.

I saw an article in our paper this morning. For anyone from the San Diego area, LE is aware that the video of the truck on the day Amber disappeared had the chrome add-ons and these were not on the truck involved with the two little girls. These chrome pieces can be easily removed. So IF you are on the look-out at maroon trucks, remember it doesn't matter if they have the chrome or not.

Be sure and look at the picture of the guy spotted in the assault of the young girls. Its a guy in his mid 20's to early 30's.

I keep thinking of that ping of her cell phone the day after Amber went missing. THAT really bothers me.

Please keep a the look out for the maroon, king cab truck, with a silver tool-box and perhaps a missing or altered tail gate. King cab has four doors and two windows on each side.

LE is fairly certain the truck spotted in the molestations and at the time of Amber's disappearance are one and the same. There was alteration of the physical appearance from Amber's disappearance in February until April of the additional incidents.

The linked article has a video that includes footage of the truck at the scenes and of the suspect in the molestations.

They keep airing this footage on our local news. Somebody HAS TO know who this guy is. Someone has seen that truck around town.

I so hope they find this guy. I have a strong feeling he MAY be connected to Amber's disappearance.

The possible connection between the two young girls at Wal-Mart and Amber is interesting but I have always understood pedophiles tend to target one particular age group. To jump from 5-6 yr old girls to a 14 yr old is out of the ordinary. I know there are exceptions to everything.

Regarding someone trying to access Amber's VM - when I check my VM I have to type in my 4 digit code to access. Is that normal on everyone's phone? If so, then the possibility it was Amber seems likely unless the perp made her tell him her code.
