I searched and did not find this case. It's incredibly interesting as it appears she may have been a victim of familial abduction as a child. She is listed as missing under suspicious circumstances but no details are available (?!).

i actually grew up in madera county, and coarsegold/oakhurst has some mighty strange people.

there is very little info on either CP or NAMUS where did you see she was familial abduction?

her mother posted a couple of messages in groups in 1996 - at that point, her mom states she had been gone 11 years (since she was 8) - if you google Amber's full name, the links will come up

her brother posted on the Charley Project FB page in 2013, thanking them for adding his sister's case but she went missing in 2009 so I'm not sure why it took 4 years to add her to the database or 4 years to request her case be added or maybe even 4 years to report her missing? OR is this a case of she's fine but everyone has failed to update NAMUS & Charley Project?

there's many gaps obviously - like where was she between 1996 & 2009? and was anyone ever prosecuted for her childhood 'abduction'?

On the group post, I don't think mom had a phone, so she wanted people to call her at her place of employment, Smith's Fried Chicken. The number is still the same today.

Hey folks! I just want to post on here and say I’m actually one of Amber’s kids! She went missing when I was about 2, and my father and grandmother told me a lot about her missing persons case. What our family actually thinks is that she may have been killed by a man she was involved with (a drug dealer if I’m correct? All I remember is that he was involved in a lot of crime. I don’t know his name tho). There’s a lot of evidence for it, but no body could be found or anything so she’s still listed as missing.
