That poor baby boy. Where the heck is his mother? I hope he has someone to take care of him while he recovers physically and emotionally.

We had a guy in our county here a couple of years ago who was on PCP, walking down the street eating a puppy. The following year he was on PCP again and revenged a citizen's yard in the middle of the night...the citizen shot and killed him and no charges were filed against the citizen. I can only say he did our community a favor when he killed him and saved the tax payers money. Call me cold blooded but I honestly see no other answer when the community is being terrorized and personal property is being destroyed because of someone high on PCP.

oh my god.

I can't even read the link -- child abuse is the lowest of the low. If we had a shiver icon, I'd be using it now.

We all need to send a lot of prayers his way.

Hugz,

Melanie

I do not see the appeal at all of PCP. Ugh, someone once told me that a man was on PCP running from the cops and they shot three of his limbs and he just kept going. And I had a neighbor/friend once who had a friend that did PCP. I met her a few times and I'm glad she wasn't on it while I was around.

Anyway, I wouldn't have hesitated to shoot that man either. :furious:

I may never be strong enough to read the story, but I will take the baby.

As for dad's punishment, I can only think of one that fits this crime and we do not allow for it in the US. I did not get an idea of where this sperm donor was from...

My prayers for this family.

The correlation between PCP use/abuse and mental illness is extremely high. Though that may be a chicken/egg proposition, I don't think many mentally stable people would use PCP, whereas plenty of mentally stable people use other drugs. Regular use of PCP always leads to physical dependence and mental illness.

We do know that the effects of PCP mimic mental illness (http://www.enotes.com/drugs-substances-encyclopedia/pcp-phencyclidine/effects-body) before causing full blown mental illness.

There are a fair amount of stories this gruesome when PCP is involved and that's because the drug causes a strong and frightening feeling of detachment - people under the drug's influence can literally look at their own body parts and not realize those body parts are attached to them. Likewise, people can be completely disconnected and unaware of body parts attached to another person.

Such a very sad story and the child could have been injured even more than he was. I hope, of course, that his father will be placed somewhere where he is no longer a danger to others.

This is absolutely appalling! It makes me so sad and angry to read of people treating thier children this way, he can't be called a parent, that is certainly not a title he has earned. My prayers with this precious baby in hopes that he finds a REAL family that will TREASURE him as the GIFT he is. :furious:

Positively sickening. A waste of oxygen, this man. IMO.

I still can't believe the things people do to children. I sickens me everyday. Just when I think nothing else could surprise me ,something horrible like this happens. What a sad world we live in.

OMG!! This makes my stomach turn. I so want to be alone with that guy -- wheelchair or not -- please let me be alone with him and a baseball bat.

I can't even wrap my brain around that...and I really don't want to try to. Stories like this make me wish I had a delete button in my brain.

There are some things you just don't want to know and this is one of them. Is this boy eligible for an eye transplant? I sure hope so.

Prayers to the little boy..

I too pray this boy is able to get an eye transplant. I just cryed for this little boy ,how does a 4 year old even begin to understand having his whole vision of the world taken away like this? How does he ever even trust anybody ever again ? If this guy was ever a good father wouldnt that be more damaging then if he was always mean toward the child? How will this child ever have a safe feeling in this world ever again? how will he trust those who love him ? This is in my opinion ,the worst case I have read about.

the News yet so didn't see it posted there

I didn't know PCP was even still around, (apparently it was being abused in the DC area a couple of years ago & DC police were seeing a lot of resulting crazy behaviour & crime) it was used as a veterinary analgesic and anaesthetic but is no longer used in veterinary medicine since 1978 due to bad health affects it caused on animals

I found an informational link about PCP at emedicine.com, this is a bad drug:

How about they surgically remove the father's eyes and transplant them to the child? Now THAT would be justice!
