Maybe the Santa Cruz Sheriff's Department has dental records. They are the investigating agency.

I contacted the California Department of Justice, Missing and Unidentified Persons Section (MUPS) and they said they don't have her in their system as a missing person.

It's strange they could locate her friend's skull, but not the rest of the body. I wondered if he disposed Anita's remains and the rest of Mary Ann's remains in other place and he did not want to disclose that information.
Maybe animals scattered the remains... I read there are bobcats, cougars and even some black bears.
I hope LE could find her so her family could give her a proper burial.
