Do you have a link to the articles or videos naming Ara Sr. as a POI in his son's disappearance? I have not had time to read every article. Even if he has been named a POI, we cannot outright accuse him of killing his son.

The video of Lt. Mendoza calling Sr. a person of interest yesterday was in an interview with Fox11 reporter Gigi Graciette. I won't post the link since it's on her social media site but you can easily google it.

Hi everyone.

Linking to a reporter's SM is permitted.

When you state something as fact, you must be able to provide a link to an approved source to back it up. If you can't link it, you can't post it.

We did find another link, however, stating Ara's father is a POI (thank you Harmony2!):

South Pasadena police arrested the father on suspicion of child endangerment. He was released from custody three days later after no charges were filed against him.

However, detectives said Andressian Sr. is a person of interest in the case.

Since Dad has been named by LE as a POI, you may sleuth him, but all other family members are off limits to sleuthing. Please do not post about anything you may find on other family member's SM.

Additionally, Ara Jr. has not been located yet. You may discuss theories that include Sr.'s involvement since he is a POI, but please do not outright accuse him of killing his son.

Any questions should be directed to a moderator via PM.

I'm real curious if he went to Lake Cachuma first then Nojoqui/Solvang or the other way around. He could have done either/or and that would make a difference to me in where I think Ara could be.

Agree! However I look at it, the search needs to be expanded. They need to come back with more people and more dedicated time.
There was a post on this thread about the caves in the same area. I would check them too.

I think he would have to know the area pretty well to find the painted caves. I know it was a 6 hour search but they had a huge amount of resources put into this search. But agreed that they need to keep searching. I agree with the Detective that Ara is in the Santa Ynez area somewhere. People not familiar with the area would go to Lake Cachuma, Nojoqui Falls and Solvang. There are much more remote places that usually only locals know about. I've lived my entire life in SB County and I can't remember how to get to some of these places although I've been many years ago.

No he wouldn't have taken the 192 (known to locals as Foothill Rd) he would have taken Hwy 101 to the upper State St exit and got on the 154 there. It's quite possible he went the exact opposite and was at Nojoqui/Solvang prior to Cachuma.

i don't think he would have gone to the tourist attracting actual caves but driven along the remote Painted Cave Rd. in the woody forest where he may have made a stop somewhere.

See on your map where the 1 is? Highways 101 and 154 intersect there (although northbound you have to do a little jockeying around) but that is the route you would go. Unless he was on the 192 for some other reason there is no way he'd take that route.

It's possible. There's also East and West Camino Cielo and Stagecoach and Paradise Rds.

painted cave road runs parallel to 154. He could have taken a detour using that remote road then jumped back onto 154 heading up to the lake consistent with my markings.

Stagecoach is a road off 154 leading to the tavern he might have stopped at for drinks after the deed on Painted cave rd.

Painted cave is actually a loop and crosses 154. What I am saying is he would not have taken the 192 to the 154.

I see, I was just making a broad brush stroke on the map, didn't mean he went on the 192, just in that direction.

I took these pictures yesterday of Alisal Rd blocked to Nojoqui Falls and the Santa Ynez River bed which was walked with cadaver dogs. Screen shot 2017-06-11 at 11.43.53 AM.pngScreen shot 2017-06-11 at 11.43.13 AM.png

AA Sr. could not have driven to Nojoqui Falls from Solvang as it was blocked months ago.

You can still get to it from the 101 right?

Both roads? I heard one is often closed and there's a second road. Also, when he was there might help with the timeline but it would make more sense he left the boy along the 154 area which is a forest and more remote.
