Ashley must have kept in daily contact with family for them to be so concerned when she didn't contact them. So if she was planning a trip to Bali based on her travel buddy profile would the expectation be that she contact people on a daily basis? It stated that she's only traveled in the US so far, no foreign countries. She seems to enjoy adventure, in regards to the skydiving.

A friend of mine goes to Vietnam for months on end and never really updates anyone. He'll go into an internet cafe ,and send a multi-link message to people, kind of like a travelogue. We're used to that behavior so no one questions his absence.

I hope she was just overwhelmed with work and requirements and decided to unplug. Eleven days is a long time, though.

She was reported missing by her family on June 1st, when she didn't show up for her next shift. Does that imply that she had a weekend off and her next shift was on Monday June 1st, the same day she was seen on ATM surveillance? Was her absence from work reported to her family?

I live in the town where AZ used the ATM after going missing. I would just like to say that I had shared a friend of her's public post on social media which was a missing poster sometime last week. I do not know the original poster. I noticed that on Saturday night, that post went with no content on my FB, because the person who originally shared it changed the privacy settings. Wouldn't you want it to be public so people could find her? I thought this was odd since it was a missing poster asking for people to share. I then noticed that on Sunday, posts from AZ's friends and family started to dwindle, so I thought something was up, now yesterday the media is reporting that she was alone at the ATM. I have seen posts from AZ friends and family saying they think she could be anywhere on the west coast, CA, Oregon, Washington were specifically mentioned. This kind of leads me to believe they suspect it might be voluntary. I've also seen others post that they believe she was taken.

In any event, Ventura is far enough away from Santa Barbara that you wouldn't go there to use an ATM, but if you were driving south, towards LA, this would be on the way. Also, her parents live in Camarillo, which is just 2 towns south of here towards Los Angeles. It could also be she was headed to Camarillo, but where was she between Friday night and Monday when she used her ATM? It has been reported also in social media that she used to work at the hospital here, so she would be familiar with Ventura.

The thing that is setting red flags up for me is the fact that her cats were outside roaming around on the porch and the door to the residence was open.

Based on the street she lives on, it looks like a well traveled main artery in Santa Barbara, so I would think her cats are house cats and didn't leave the porch because they were unused to being outside.

It sounds more and more like she came home, changed into street clothing perhaps putting her phone down one place and her purse in another and in the interim was surprised by an intruder who bundled her out of the house with only with her purse and car keys.

This sounds so plausable.

If she used the ATM at the time she was supposed to be at work, then you could argue that she initiated her disappearance herself (no foul play).

I believe it is hard to stay untraceable especially within the US. I would focus on her car and her bank/ credit cards. Did she get a large amount of money at the ATM? Otherwise she has to use her cards at one point. If she is not using her cards, she might not have gone that far? A Mazda 3 can drive 480 miles on one tank before refueling. That gets the car max to Las Vegas or San Diego (going east or south). Does her car have a Fasttrack transponder? How many toll roads are there in LA that would have recorded her license plate or transponder? Could she have bought a ticket at the airport with cash? (unlikely). Are the airport parkings checked for her car?

Are there any old friends of her that she could have gone to? Are there any parks or other memorable places from her past that she might have wanted to go back to? Are there any bucket list locations in her area? If she somehow got emotionally disturbed, where would she likely have gone? Could she have parked her car somewhere close to a trail and walked off?

I guess many questions for the people close to her. Maybe try to rule out one by one.

MOO but she left voluntarily. The article posted above indicates she is originally from Minnesota. Makes me wonder if COVID plus the riots caused a mental break. Not hearing from her for so many days now has me very concerned about self-harm.

For people questioning why she would take out money if she planned self-harm, think of it this way: maybe she only planned to run off for a bit and wanted cash so she couldn’t be tracked. Then she could have decided on self-harm. JMO

She could have had a shift that was at a later time that day, and perhaps was seen on the video footage prior to when she was suppose to begin her shift. I also read that she was suppose to go on a hike in Pasadena that weekend with a group of people. So she could have been driving back up to Santa Barbara from Pasadena, making a stop at this ATM on the way back home. With someone with her in her car. Another thing I found interesting, She had just recently started working at the Cottage hospital in March. Prior to that, she worked at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, CA. That hospital is huge, and it is extremely nice. This is where all of the folks that reside in Pasadena, and the surrounding areas go for care. What caused her to move all the way from Pasadena to Santa Barbara? I mean she has only worked at this Cottage Hospital for 3 months. What caused her to completely uproot her life, and move? Something significant I feel. It is also interesting to note the under the radar-ness of the LE. Like there is more that they are wanting to keep private.

Very possible, but if there was any evidence of foul play I strongly suspect it would've come to light by now. AZ has been missing for 11 days now and if no evidence of foul play has been discovered, I think it's more because none exists vs. LE is keeping things private.

Even in cases where LE has kept virtually everything close to them, such as Delphi, etc. they still stated whether or not they believed something nefarious happened. The lack of announcement of that is telling imo.

This article says she lives in an apartment. This may be old news, but it's the first I have heard that as opposed to just "arrived home." So what kind of apartment building? One with doors accessing the outside directly? How big of an apartment complex?

So I Googled her street and then apartments and there are at least four apartment buildings that come up in the search. The street she lives on is a fairly long street and there are several businesses on it. I have to imagine at least some have cameras? It would at least help to get an idea of when she left her apartment again after returning home from work.

The same article I linked upthread mentioned she is an avid hiker and they have searched some trails. I just wonder if she took off to go hiking that weekend and something happened? I know it would be really odd to leave your phone at home unless she was going hiking locally and wanted to "unplug" so she purposely left it at home?

If she did take off on her own, why? Where is she? Where does she plan to go? Her car I take it hasn't been spotted anywhere or we would have heard about it. It seems especially odd since she had a new job for only three months and no-call no-show would definitely jeopardize her standing at that job. Unless she did take off of her own volition that weekend and didn't want to be traced so she could just get away but had every intention of being back to work on Monday and something happened. I know she was spotted on surveillance Monday June 1, but I posted upthread while I still don't think it means she is 100% safe. MOO
