Search for missing Sausalito woman

The Sausalito Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a woman that went missing a week ago.

I always worry when their last know location is by water.

The report says she was last seen on the waterfront in sausalito. A quick google search shows it's a HUGE and leads either into San Francisco bay, or out into the ocean. I should imagine there is lots of CCTV along this stretch as their seems to be a lot of restaurants etc.

Doesnt seem to be much else on SM about this lady. Will keep looking though.

Ashley Wells was kayaking to her houseboat alone between midnight and 2 a.m. Thursday, March 30 when she disappeared.

Since her disappearance, no one has reported seeing her or seeing the kayak she was in. The orange kayak Wells was paddling may have had some leaks.

So, kayaking at midnight - 2:00 am seems like a bad idea. Had she been drinking or anything? Is there a way to check the water with sonar to maybe spot her kayak?

Details of Disappearance​

Wells was last seen paddling in an orange kayak on Richardson Bay in Sausalito, California between midnight and 2:00 a.m. March 30, 2017. At the time of her disappearance, she was staying with a friend on a boat in the harbor; all her belongings were left behind on that boat. She has never been heard from again and her kayak has not been found. Wells is presumed lost at sea.
