The Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for April 9th, 2021. Riverside Hall of Justice, Dept. 63. The court made a general announcement at the start of today’s court hearings, that no more than 10 persons can be in the courtroom due to covid-19. So, with the 6 defendants and their attorneys, it will put them beyond the maximum allowed. Perhaps the vaccine will be released b4 then and the restrictions will be lifted.

Man pleads guilty to harboring suspects in murders of Coachella Valley couple - KESQ

On Sept. 10, Jesus Ruiz Jr. pleaded guilty to two counts of wilfully and unlawfully having knowledge of the murders of Reynoso and Moran as well as harboring and concealing two of the suspects, Manuel Rios, 28, of Coachella and Abraham Fregoso Jr., 33, of Indio.

Ruiz, 42, of Stockon, was sentenced to two years in prison on Sept. 22, however, he was released due to time served, according to John Hall, public information officer for the Riverside County District Attorney's office.

Hall told News Channel 3 that Ruiz had 454 days of actual custody and 454 days of credit for a total of 908 days.

The remaining five suspects in this murder case are scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 15.

If I remember correctly one of the special circumstances charge has to do with a witness. My guess is one or both of them witnessed something and they were killed to be silenced. The fact that the gang unit was involved in this says to me that all 6 of the people arrested have some gang or cartel ties. I’m wondering if they knew any of the 6 people?

It’s such a sad ending to this case, hopefully we will learn more when the trials or plea agreements are made.

Yes they knew the people (or at least some). One was Audrey’s ex boyfriend and they went to school together. They grew up with Audrey from what I recall.

The preliminary hearing for the five suspects accused in the murder of Jonathan Reynoso and Audrey Moran will be moved back to Indio. The decision was made Monday morning at a hearing at the Riverside Hall of Justice. The judge overseeing the case ruled that the preliminary hearing that was also scheduled for today be delayed until Wednesday.

From the article posted above, I think this is all we know, but it's been so long.

Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco said in June 2020 that the victims were known to their alleged killers, but would not comment further. Back in 2018, News Channel 3 I-Team investigator John White went to a Coachella home, where neighbors at the time said Bernal lived, then calling him Moran's ex-boyfriend.

it was stated today during PreLim that Audrey was seen at Ex Boyfriend Aaron Bernals apartment the day before she went missing.
