Did we ever find out what happened to Lexie? I worried for her, losing her "mum" like that.

And why did Lexie need to be dropped off at daycare on the morning RT and BT were taking the new motorhome out?
Then BT doesn’t return from that trip.
Did Lexie usually go with them?
Would BT not have gotten “lost” if Lexie was with them that day?

You know, there are just so many things that unsettle me about this. TV interview, the dog, the timespan, the family tensions, the upcoming solo trip, something about that very first photo that was released. And then I take my own past experiences and feelings, and weave that into a story that may not be true at all. And I admit I'm haunted by the many stories here on Websleuths of people harmed by other people, who weren't protected in life, and whose painful truth is still unknown - due to isolation, family secrets, and the fact that we as humans often look past worrying behaviors in order to be polite.

It could be as simple as a rattlesnake bite. And I need to let it go. If there's more, then we'll hear it. Happy New Year, all. And sun goddess Barbara, I hope you are soaking up the rays in an even more beautiful place. I'm glad your family got you back this year.

I wonder if she could have intentionally gone off the trail in an attempt to take a shorter route to the RV. She may have been in a rush to get back if she wasn't feeling well.

Or, maybe she decided to turn back to find her husband and then made a wrong turn. Imo

But why wouldn’t she have heard him yell, if he did yell as he says he did? That has stumped me. She surely would still have been within earshot. It’s all a frustrating mess.

She might have, but chose to ignore him if they had a tiff. Perhaps I am projecting here. ; )

I think our member who scoped out the area felt the RV would have been visible for quite a distance - IIRC

My parents traveled extensively for many years in RV's and never took their dog with them. JMO

Buzzards can and do circle animal remains down here in the South. Not my opinion, what I have witnessed many times. Were they circling over a dead person, who knows? Doubt it. But carrion birds do circle overhead sometimes before deciding to land and have a bite. I can understand that they may not do this in the desert where people are more scarce and the birds can take care of business more efficiently.

IIRC, that was a new RV? Why risk the pup chewing or relieving itself in a new rig. I would have done the same, but as Ranch points out it is personal choice.

I forget the type of buzzard and region, but was told that not all will eat human remains. They will definitely smell and see them, be interested, but will be spooked because it's not something they are use to seeing on the ground. Other familiar animals, yeah, they're coming. IMO

Likely because RT wanted her to drop Lexie off vs. take her with is my guess. Emphasis on guess. I'm just thinking of typical hubby/wife spats, and I could envision this scenario.

No offence intended Roses but this isnt typical in my marriage. I dont do things I dont want to do just because my husband says so.

For me it suggests an unequal footing.

Compromise is one thing, but things that make me unhappy? No.

I appreciate this is me though and not Barb.

I don't see this dynamic frequently enough. Of course it can go the other way with the wife imposing her will, but my personal observation is that it's usually the guys.

The other reason I suggested this is that from the little info we have on this couple, it "seemed" as if RT called the shots. But that's my own interpretation, not based on imperial data.

I also think that ‘typical husband/wife spats’ might explain the supposedly ‘deceptive’ polygraph.

“Was everything okay between you?” (I have no idea how they phrase questions.)

“Yes.” (Actually, we’d been fighting all morning, but it wasn’t anything serious.) (Uh-oh, deceptive.)

I dont disagree with you but for me its not just one thing standing alone. There are several curious points IMO.

In most cases you could probably write a list of things that seem "off" however they turn out.

I wont make a list here and go over all that old ground again because we are all familiar with the points we have debated and I think we are simply seeing them differently.

Indeed, that's what I said - it's all gaps.
I was just taking one as an example - that Barbara was apparently not in a good mood, but we do not know why.
