Thanks. He plead guilty in exchange for telling LE where her body was. (Her ex husband)
I am so sorry to hear this. How awful. :(

Ah...hmm...yes: odd actually the same day...not that means anything to any conspiracy theory nuts out there ;)

Thanks for that...!
Didn't they disappear on the same day, though? How would RT know about Sherry's disappearance, when his own wife went missing the same time?

Thanks. The thing I’ve noticed with LE is they can go a long time without ever updating the public and even the family. They normally only update the public when someone is named a suspect/arrested or they need the public’s help.
Before the ex husband made a plea deal were there signs he was a suspect? Or a Person of interest?

. Oh. That’s not good at all. When did he start referring to her in the past tense? Dead giveaway, if you pardon my expression.

“That’s the last I ever saw of her.” Past tense? What should he say that would be both natural and sound less suspicious?

Well, if Barbara is lucky enough to be alive and walks out of the desert alive, I just might question if her and Sherry are friends. Just kidding, though I would love it if Barbara was found safe and sound. We can always hope.

To be honest, I didn't think too much of that comment. That's what most people would say about the last time they saw someone- it is in the past, so to speak. Other things have my mind suspicious, but that comment, no.

BBM:

Yes, RT made sure we all knew that fact right away, too, and by right away, I mean in the next breath after he got done telling the reporter he flunked his poly.

In that same breath, he also managed to let us all know that he hadn't slept the night before.

So, obviously, that explains why he didn't pass his poly.

He cleared it all up with 2 short sentences.

Very helpful. And efficient.

JMO.

One wonders exactly where RT's head is at. Really.

BBM:

I'm recalling our VI, @dbdb11's words expressing the worry that RT might be "a lot smarter than many will expect."

I'm beginning to think that might be a very shrewd observation.

Well, LE has only his word as to how far away each of them were from each other as well as Barbara to the RV. That's what I want to know, though- how far behind was he, distance wise, and how long would it have taken him in seconds or minutes, to reach the point she was at when she turned the corner? Also, how far was that corner from the RV? Or......does that corner even exist?!
BBM

That's what I'd like to know.
He could at least take LE on a short hike , showing them where they were ... and where he was -- when she vanished.
Also wondering about the phrase... "turned the corner..."
Are there large rocks in the area ? Tall scrub bushes that would screen his view ?

I completely agree with you. I can’t think of any way someone could even phrase that in the present tense—let alone doing it naturally. Now, if someone said: “She was a wonderful person,” that would raise questions in my mind. (Might still just mean that someone was depressed/pessimistic.)

I wouldn’t take this as past tense to indicate she was dead. Normal grammar. When they refer to the victim in the past, it’s different. Can’t give you an example right off the top of my head.
Aha. She loved life. As opposed to she loves life. Simple example. Presumption of death by the speaker/perp.

IIRC, LE seemed to go straight from “he’s cooperating with authorities” to “arrested” in 6 weeks. I can’t recall anything about him being a suspect in the middle of that timeframe. There were no public announcement of search warrants etc.. everything was done quietly behind the scenes by LE. It was frustrating for the family and public because no one knew what was happening.

So dbdb said her son is anxious to talk to the media! We're listening. Please do! :)

Past posts he was not able to return to the site once LE and canines descended on the scene. He would have mixed up scents. I suppose he could have directed search via telecamera or drone.

This is what I don't understand at all.

No photos have been released as to where he was when taking the photos, versus where she was when she turned the corner, and how far apart they were. That awesome new member that posted all of the photos a couple of nights ago- I didn't see any corner that she could have turned, but perhaps I was looking at the photos wrong.

I just wish that LE had been a tiny bit more forthcoming about how far apart the two were allegedly when he last saw her. Do we know from RT's account as to how far behind, in terms of minutes, he was, when he noticed she was missing? He said she turned a corner and that was the last time he saw her. When he turned the corner, should he have seen Barbara still walking? If so, if she was abducted, wouldn't the vehicle have gone past him, or wouldn't he have seen or heard another vehicle nearby when he realized she was gone?

I totally agree.

Please hush. He could jeopardize the investigation. If you want to plead for leads. Go ahead. Otherwise stay quiet.
How could he jeopardize the investigation? He could add to it, I believe. I hope he does speak up unless unlike others you notice this going somewhere.

BBM. for real? since when do we want to silence family members/next of kin (AKA VICTIMS!??) I find this preposterous...
