good points. i will take them to heart.

you can direct your questions to me more privately if you believe this is the wrong forum to discuss this case. WS has been a huge help to me so far.

I mean... it's more about the last point. If you really think that RT is involved somehow, and you don't think LE is listening, contact the District Attorney's office. Their job is putting criminals behind bars. If there is justice to be done here, they can help make it happen.

So there were other cars parked there! I'm beginning to think Robbie was right. Someone attacked her and took her.

Darn. Wish I could operate the search function better. Could have been last week. I replied to dbdb what a bombshell. You'd think searching that word as a keyword would produce my post. Also, with xoxo and the neighbors' vid, I was asking how it was known BT had flip flops on for a drive by the house vid. She said vid captured her in the street where the RV was parked, not in BT's driveway. You'd think a search for flip flops would have some hits ...

I don't remember reading anything like that, and can't find that post. Your profile stats only list 20 posts. Are you sure it wasn't in a private conversation? If not, the mods must have deleted it for some reason.

The post about RT's daughter and her lawyer has been removed from this thread and / or I can't find it using the search feature, so I'll delete the post unless dbdb11 can reiterate. TIA
i doubt media has said anything of the sort, and if they have i have not seen it.

Does anyone know how long Barbara and RT have been married?

Unless I misunderstood your post, you said it was in MSM. That was the link we were asking for.

I have no idea what has happened to BT and I am making no assumptions.
As far as WS, as long as TOS is followed, and victims are not blamed, this is an excellent forum for working together.

If anyone reading this has any knowledge about where Barbara may be, do the right thing and make the call.

Are these still correct?

thank you.
all of your concerns, prayers and wishes should be directed to barbara and her recovery.
what was barbara going through, before, during, and after this walk?
My heart goes out to you and your family and I would hope all family members would want everyone to pray for Barbara before themselves.

Thank you so much.
I already made one and had it focused on the area in this case.
Eyes on the road, ears on the road, very important.
Chi

6. "RECORD HEAT" - All time record, record for July? Because it's summer there and it's always hot.

I snipped off the rest to keep it short, I hope you don't mind. Average temps for the second week of July is 109, but this year it's extremely hot and it hit 117 and in other places (like the Needles area where I live) it hit 119. We keep our own weather records. This is the real temp, not heat index. So, it was much hotter than average and very very dry. It was a very dangerous hike to make without proper clothing and supplies.

The heat on the day in question was 104-105 according to earlier posts. It skyrocketed the following week making search efforts very difficult.

again, this is incorrect. i've never said LE told me there was certainty barb was there. i deduced logically based on robbie's public statements and the following search and rescue operation that LE must have seen evidence she was there.

Thanks so much for being a VI here.

This is JMO based on other cases.

The fact that LE organized a ground search of the area would not necessarily mean they have any way to prove she was there. Once LE is told information verbally from a husband that person X was at location Y, there is a duty for them to investigate the claims and so long as they had no initial reason to doubt the person then I could see where they would undertake a formal search of the area. Legally its very important because of their role and they want to avoid any potential lawsuits later if they had doubted his story and not searched. So they pretty much had to search no matter if they had proof or not that she was there.

Then they are protected from a legal standpoint that they did all they could.

Anytime, that's what I do.
All my hopes and prayers, if you don't mind me saying, are with your entire family.
Nice to meet you, sorry for the circumstances,
Chi
eta I did include all relevant info, maps, clothing description, but not the pic of B in her bikini, although it's nice, I really think she'd prefer the other pic in this situation

Looking at a map of military instalations in the Mojave, I was surprised at how many there are. Fort Irwin would be the largest I think, but that is near Barstow. Twenty nine palms, Skunk works, China lake to name a few.
With all those restricted areas you would think there would be much satellite surveillance, aerial photo runs etc.
Planes and helicopters must be coming and going regularly.
Not saying they would be over the exact spot on the exact day. I realize you just can't call up DOD and ask for the info. Just wondering.

Do you believe that they would continue to send people out in dangerous heat for 9 days without something at all pointing to her being in the area?

Just will clarify, being female and not young, I would not want my pic in a bikini on my missing flyer :p
But I don't look like this classy lady.

I can't find it anymore (the link to MSM nor the post with the MSM link in it); however, a mod looked into it and verified the MSM link yesterday, but now it's nowhere to be found. All for the best, I guess. Nevermind!

SBM

Fantastic! Can I ask why you’d think she’d prefer that? Apparently she often wore her bikini and was very comfortable dressed that way. The official photo was of her in the bikini because that is how she was last seen and how she was dressed.

I ask because those items may be relevant to identifying her (red cap, black bikini top) and people often glance at the pic, and don’t read.

ETA I see you answered above saying it’s because you wouldn’t want your photo in a bikini.

@dbdb11: I think that members are asking about the proof that Barbara was seen leaving home that morning.

I believe I remember you telling us that that either a neighbor saw her leave, or it was on video from a neighbors cam? I may have remembered that incorrectly though.

Can you share that with us again?

Thanks so much ...
