I'm thinking the reason that RT told the world the police considered him a suspect is so that he'd have an excuse to lawyer up. It doesn't look odd because he says he thinks he's a suspect. I bet he asked for his lawyer at the actual polygraph.
I don't think he needs an "excuse" to "lawyer up".
Anyone in his situation is naturally going to come under suspicion, being the last known person to be with the missing person. You've only got to read some of the comments here and elsewhere.
It would be really stupid not to get legal advice.

I agree in general about RT having a lawyer. If in his position, I would do the same. I am sure RT is very upset, since he himself said he was "found by LE to be deceptive" on a polygraph and thinks he is the prime suspect. [from this link Woman Wearing Bikini Vanishes Without Supplies in California Desert]
Does this lawyer specialize in any way?
Have no idea. He may be a lawyer that they have used in the past.
The possible separation/divorce/changing the will things tend to be very interesting to me. ETA those things visible on Matt's notes in interview.

I thought RT’s lawyer’s comments odd. “Still frantically working on a way to get information to bring [Barbara] home.”
Maybe just worded weirdly...

"Frantically" is an interesting choice of words. While he did show a little emotion, I personally didn't get a "frantic" vibe from either of RT's interviews.

(BBM): Google Maps below shows their home is 100+ miles east of that remote road in the Mojave Desert. Nothing in MSM or from her husband about having travelled that road before. Just that they liked to go out into the desert. In fact, RT told LE they had never been there before, and just pulled off at the side of the road to check out some rock formations as they were starting out a camping trip. A bit of a haul and "very remote" according to LE, which is why they said in MSM they did not think she had been abducted. Not nearby or a well travelled road they had been on before, IMO.
OK, so maybe it was a spot they hadn't passed before. And they thought it looked interesting enough to make a short stop. Or they just felt like stretching their legs.

BT's son did a great job. Hopefully, some other outlets will pick it up.

I really feel for BT's family. And I hope that LE is able to supply some answers soon.

(Perhaps we can contact these news outlets and send them links to the interview with BT's son. Maybe that would generate some interest closer to BT's home/area she reportedly disappeared from)

I swear I saw stuff about Israel and Palestine in the notes. I don't know what to think. Found the lawyer's quote oddly "blank", but that's to be expected, maybe?

I feel sadder than ever now.
Notes did appear to be odd, with the Israel and Palestinian references.

The portion about his mother seemed to reference his belief that she 'lived in fear,' and wasn't permitted to have a cell phone/social media pages. So, going on this assumption, possibly her trip to see her brother overseas created anxiety for RT . . .

But the notes also mention Herbalife and that angle (unsure if we can mention any more about this on WS).

The interview was very heavily edited. I suspect he said a lot of things that they couldn't use.

I thought it was quite creative of the news reporter/producers to get around Matt’s bigger theories and just focus the interview on the basics of Barbara going missing, while showing those notes well enough to be read.
Maybe some of those things are relevant, maybe not. But the important thing is to get word out that Barbara is still missing.

Yeah is just sounded funny to me. “Finding a way to get information”— why not just frantically trying to find Barbara? Almost sounds like they know who has her, just trying to find out how to get her back?

The notes pages on Isreal and Palestine were dated 2017 at the top. They looked like something a college student studying the middle east conflict would take during a class. I think it's safe to say those topics are completely unrelated to Barbara's disappearance.

Here is the relevant notes page about Barb with "Bullhead City" at the top and even has the name and phone numbers of the detective for her case:

Some very interesting notes there. I wonder why the news didn't show Barb's son talking about any of those controversial topics? It seems that they cut down the interview quite a bit.

MOO.

Thank you for bumping this again. For the record, I have not received a reply from any of my emails BUT... they may ignore one or two, even five or ten, but if EVERYONE will do this, I firmly believe that we can get Barbara's case back in the news.

We have been successful at this in the past, but you know what they say...it takes a village. PLEASE, if you haven't done so already, email these contacts today. It doesn't take long at all once you do one. Then, it's just copy/paste to the rest of them. :) MOO

I think the notes being referenced during the interview with Palestinian and Israel had a date in the far left upper corner of 10-2?-17. Honestly I think they just wanted to show him thumbing through the pages in notebook but he just had the one page on Barbara.

(Had that ready to post and WS was being nutty last night) glad to see that somebody else agrees and saw the date too!

You're welcome. I'm sorry that I forgot to give you credit also for bumping that info up also, and anyone else I missed.

We might not be local to BT's area, but as y'all have said, it takes a village and we CAN email/send links.

What is quite confusing is the details regarding that *. If they were still associated with it was BT not aware of (if as claimed) dishonest dealings?

Yeah quite weird. Still hoping she is found alive.

Interesting.

I believe some of the comments in these threads have influenced outside opinions. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
