The part of his story which doesn't make sense to me is what happens after he concludes Barbara has been taken.

"Statistics show that a truthful statement will have a before, during, and after part. It has been
shown that before ≈ 25% after ≈ 25%, and the during segment ≈ 50% of the total words used. In a deceptive statement the distribution will deviate significantly from this formula."

I sense lies of omission, rather than outright lying about the series of events. More, i sense premeditation in having the dog dropped off, the time and place, being in that area, desolate road in obscene heat... If she was abducted, maybe she is alive. I sense quite a bit of narrative building and trying to sell that narrative. I sense premeditated alibis. He has probably told the story a thousand times by now. In his head, at least. Maybe some financial instability and certainly a fear of being unable to keep up appearances. An insecurity. I don't know, but someone mentioned plastic surgery. Robbie has mentioned being worried, losing sleep, and done a good deal of building a defence for himself. Love notes, that road, that beer, that bikini. He didn't hire a lawyer for a week, that is true. He was never a suspect or person of interest to police in the first place, so he probably lawyered up in preparation to sue websleuths or something, right? He is, indeed, the only person who has claimed to be a suspect, so far. He was the first person to refer to the trailer as a crime scene, as far as I've heard.

Which leads into something else I am detecting. Something subtle. The actions and reactions of the police investigating this case... Based on what they aren't presently investigating I think it is safe to say there is something major being looked into. They're already deep into a major piece of the puzzle. Why don't they need the public's help? why don't they need the neighbour's surveillance cam? Why don't they reach out to... on and on, if you follow.

I get the feeling they have their teeth on something chunky.

a friend sent me a video of the officer who first answered the call to Chris Watt's house. I really do wonder if the sb county police wear body cams... Would be very useful to see Robbie's body language in those few hours with the police, IMHO.
BBM Yes, they do.

I am almost always distraught at 810 am.

The description was more... angry and aggravated. Nobody said distraught.
ohhh, I didn't know that!

Someone mentioned distraught. Who was it?

Barbara did at 8:30, alone -- and the staff said she seemed visibly distraught.
Edit : Misquoted.

Yes, you're correct. ^^^
I quoted from the wrong post elsewhere... sorry.

One person at the kennel said she was okay and the other person said she was distraught. I think the distraught came from her being in a hurry to get back to the RV and leave. She did it all in 5 minutes!! When I'm in a hurry, I look distraught, period.
Where do you see that? As far as I can tell, we know of two sightings of BT that morning. One was from surveillance camera when she and RT were leaving; there is no indication that she was visibly distraught. The other was from someone who was at the dog kennel, who IIRC said she seemed aggravated and not friendly as she usually was.

That said, if the timeline is correct, then dropping off the dog was the last thing she did before leaving, and she may indeed have been in a hurry.

"Angry and Aggravated" is the correct description.
No one knows why.

Although possibly because she did not want to go camping right before her trip to HK ?
Sometimes camping out --even in a fifth wheel and not roughing it in a tent -- can be more stressful that just staying home.
Depends on what your duties are while camping. Who does the cooking/washing up, etc.

I had not previously heard about Barbara putting her beloved dog in kennels. Was this because of her trip to Hong Kong .Were Barbara and Rob taking a trip to LasVegas to finish at the airport for her flight.
was he going to camp in LasVegas until her return and then they would travel back together.

I agree. One of our posters said it's a 5 minute drive so I speculated she dropped off Lexi at 8:10 and got right home and into the truck at 8:15.
I trust the camera at the neighbors more for timing. When I drop my dog off I write in the time and I approximate it. ie if it were 8:07 I would write in 8:10.

dbdb11 posted that neighbors said that Barbara never drove.
Could she have dropped the dog off at ~8:10 while RT was waiting in the truck?
Could they both have left the house with the dog at ~8:05?
Perhaps both clocks are a bit off resulting in a discrepancy.

Why didn't Barbara drive - ?

I am wondering why they weren't taking the pooch with them - ? Seems odd: a camping trip would be something a dog would love, & it's been stated that Barbara was very attached to her dog. Perhaps this is why she wasn't happy - she didn't want to kennel her dog - ? (there are pics with her camping with her dog, so it wasn't the norm to kennel him)

Do we even know what the plans were - where were they planning to camp?

For how long?

Apparently I've been too consumed with Barbara's case. I woke up in the wee hours this morning from a dream. In the dream Barbara was manipulated into a car by a middle aged mentally unbalanced woman. Sounds crazy I know but at least in my dream she was alive. I'm only mentioning it because it's a scenario we haven't considered.

How did she get to the kennel? Did she or Robert drive? If he drove, was the RV hooked up to the truck?
I personally take my dog camping with me, tent camping and he loves it. I'd be annoyed if I had to drop him off at a kennel first thing in the morning.

She never drove or she didn't drive with the 5th wheel? I can't imagine not driving at all.

You probably know this but no scrolling back is necessary. Just hit the arrow next to the name until you get back to the original post. In this case, the post by the VI has been removed, so it’s a moot point. It’s all good. :)

Thanks Lilibet! I learn something new every day... Only take a few years to do it.

Respectfully snipped for commentary focus.
Because she is married, and husbands can be aggravating!
Goes with the territory.

The cultCorp stuff is really reminding me of the Church of Scientology -- complete with financial support from select powerful/wealthy people, and other people being possibly held against their will.

Anyone else getting this feeling?

I hope it's not that bad, since they (CoS) seem to be completely immune to legal constraints.

I hope Barbara is ok.

What exactly is cultcorp?
I looked it up but everything is in Spanish.
It looks like it's in Brazil or something.

Oh sorry @MsBetsy , no, that was (I thought) the VI's shorthand for Her****ife -- the MLM we're not supposed to mention by name.

I would guess because it was going to be far too hot for a dog. In those temperatures she would burn the pads of her paws in no time, so she would be confined to the RV. In which case they would have to run the a/c all the time. Not much fun.

Heh, heh,heh... Thanks for a chuckle. :)

It feels like this case is at a standstill.
Just need something to break it open.

If Barbara is ok and in hiding-- I wish she could contact her son or someone and let them know she's alive and unharmed.
I'd still like to know if there's any sightings of her in that desert.
