Who is the closest relative (distance wise) on Barbara’s side of the family?
I think it would be her son in Indiana. Her brother is in HK, though I believe there is another brother.

I have checked with my SO, having looked further, I think my SO was mistaken. Family are members but not founders.
Thanks for checking. That's my understanding as well. MOO

This is the flyer I am currently featuring. Very good response in terms of sharing, no tips at all. Hoping to get a picture or at least a verification that anyone else in that vicinity is posting her flyer. :(

some would deem a bikini/speedo on a 69 yr old somewhat cougarish, but not me. barb is/was fit and, if the shoe/hiking boot/stilleto fits, wear it! frankly, i'm more interested in rt's "reputed" hair lightening and mullet with liberace-like perfumed ringlets (need confirmation fm prior poster).
but hey, they say 70 is the new 40. anything goes nowadays. Like the millennials say, YOLO!

Oddly enough, the hair dying issue doesn't even register on my radar. I color my hair from gray to reddish brown. My husband tries to color his hair. My dad had chemically enhanced jet black hair until he died at age 83. A lot of us are bound determined to fight our hair until our last breath.

I do understand not everyone sees it as a normal thing, though.

and perhaps go there to search?
you mean the son isn't down there helping with the search? if so, I find that strange. I know sleuthing is not allowing, but i'd be curious to know if there is any prior criminality in the marriage. and how long they were married, and how many prior marriages were involved. I think the beer and bikini and show you big timein vegas, those are all smokescreens or red herrings imo

I'm wondering whether its worth contacting the San Bernardino County Sheriff's SAR? Could we find out whether there are further searches being carried out? If not, is there anything we can (collectively) do to ensure that further searches can be carried out? SBSAR.ORG - SAR Teams

A quick question of clarification for @dbdb11 or any other informed thread members:

What prompted Barbara and Robert to relocate to Bullhead City from Henderson?

Given Robert's emphasis on Barbara's close relationships with his family, I'm wondering if they moved to be closer to specific family members, or if the move was related to work opportunities.

Hey, I resemble that remark! ;)
You have to admit though, it does bring back thoughts of Scott Peterson.....

Perhaps they were not close. Perhaps no one to watch his children. Perhaps money issues.

I think the implication was that some people suddenly start dyeing their hair, losing weight, getting fit when contemplating a life change, or they have a new love interest (which may cause their spouse to threaten to leave, and mayhem ensues). I dunno. I have an impression that RT cares a lot about how things look so maybe if he did change up his hair, he’s just trying to look his best. I must say I love Handsome Sailor’s description even though I sadly conclude it’s likely embellished.

Look over here, not over there. Yup.

My guess is that she is not in Vegas, although I would not rule out NV. I think she is miles away from the search location. I wish I had some idea of where. MOO

I bet the son feels there’s no reason to search where RT indicated, and also doesn’t know where else to look. But it seems he is trying to publicize the case, or at least he did manage to get on TV.

This is just a general question from me. No idea on it at all. Could be relevant in flyer distribution etc.
Anyone know if they attend church? I don't want to know where specifically, as that would be sleuthing of family. Not allowed.
I think I have read somewhere that RT is or has been Mormon?
If not appropriate, I apologize in advance.

???"Look for woman w Az St. U. beer mug in hand. She's the one you're supposed to take hostage."???
....
ETA: If someone wanted to abduct her, a beer in her hand would be of no relevance. Unless, of course, that mug in her hand was a description RT gave to someone who was instructed to pick her up, as a means to identify her.
@distracted :) Thanks for your post.
No disrespect, but I have some doubt about part of post. Let's say, hypothetically only, to orchestrate BT's kidnapping, RT tells abductor to ID her by the ASU beer mug.

Would RT be able to accurately predict, when abductor lays eyes on her that BT would have this in hand. What if pre-walk, BT decides to drink a coke straight from can or to use hydration pack (e.g., https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydration_pack)?

Then does RT hand her the magic mug and say - 'No, honey. Take this instead, and don't put it down.'

To stretch a bit further, at agreed meeting place and time, does abductor see woman in bikini & baseball cap w other mug & think, 'That's not the Sun Devils logo; it says Harvard. Nope, she can't be the one to snatch. I'll keep looking.'

J/K Sorry, I jumped the shark. My apologies.
{{{ETA: Yes, there is a point to my post: Things go Wrong. If this was planned abduction, w a small misunderstanding, gap in communications, or a slight change in location or time, the whole plan can fall to pieces. Could be as seemingly inconsequential as a logo on a mug. Even if it was an abduction of opportunity - guy driving along says, here's my chance - as he picks her up, or afterward, things can go wrong. One thing by itself can make the wheels fall off the wagon. BTW, abduction of either kind is not at top of my list of possibilities.}}}
