You can only stay 90 days in Hong Kong without a special Visa. She could could not have been expecting to relocate there.
This is not inaccurate, but is also not a true statement. We have no reason to think she planned to relocate to HK, but she absolutely would have been able to if she so pleased.
@dbdb11 did the clerk at the gas station say if Rob exhibited signs of disability or limited range of motion when he was in the store?
Did he leave by the same circuitous route that he took approaching the store? When he did approach the store, did he exhibit any signs of impairment?
Did Barb own a firearm? Did she have any experience using one?
TIA
The clerk did not say he noticed any signs of disability or impairment. The clerk said he practically jogged back across the road, so not the same route as he came in. Barb did not own a firearm to our knowledge, and neither did Robert. I do not know if she had any experience using one.

no.

No reason for us to think she was alone. She was the only one who entered the kennel, just like RT was the only one to enter the Chevron.

I am saying Barb never returned from their 2 mile round trip stroll.
Was all clear to me.

Interesting picture emerging from your info DB. Kennel people thought Barb was acting out of character. Agitated somewhat. RT was perceived as naggy an hour or so later by the petrol station guy. I'm not getting a happy camper vibe.

Thanks for the new photos, @dbdb11 .

Eta. My extra comment was not important to this case.

Would people in RVs take ice on a trip routinely? Cold drinks in the fridge of course. Ice seems odd. But again, I'm in the uk and wouldn't routinely have it at home even. It's 31 degrees here today, not quite the desert tho

We are obsessed with ice in the US. I prefer my sweet tea cold out of the fridge, no ice, but I'm an exception

Well if there was an argument... I'd at least be clear and open to LE.
But that's me.

I'd say , " Yes... we argued, and she stormed off and went in that direction. From where I'm standing right here -- she took off walking north...."
Or something like that.

I guess ice in a cooler would be more efficient than keeping the fridge running in the RV, but that is an uneducated guess.

How Long to Process Evidence?
....They have had time to uncover digital inconsistencies (phone, gps, camera metadata, credit cards, video).
@Curiousobserver :) Thanks for your post. snipped for focus.
Agreeing w above post, but only in TV's CSI-Life , not necessarily IRL. jmo. Here's why.
LE must, IIUC ---
-first, locate surv/cctv vids (< if that's what post refers to) from various locations in BHCity like kennel & Chevron, gas station, along highway, etc. (a few days?)
-second, draft, issue, serve subpoenas for those records, such as surv/cctv vids, phone data, credit/debit/bank card transactions
, etc. (1-10-20-10days?) BTW, did RT provide camera, etc. to LE?
-third, wait for subpoenaed doc's & records to arrive. (recv'd over 7-10-30 days?)
-fourth, analyze each of the above independently of ea other. (1-10-20-30 days?)
-fifth, compare data from various docs/records for inconsistencies. (1-10-20-30 days?)
Is this ^ the stage where (you think) LE should be now?
Do we have a realistic idea about caseload of in-house or outside labs which process these ^ items or how this case 'ranks' in relation to other pending cases?
Or how long any of these individual processes takes?
Sadly, not every case can be put on top of the pile and handled the very day received.
Jmo,could be all wrong.

So would I. But I cant hold any guilt in whatsoever. I'd blame myself for everything and need to get it out there. Different folks etc

Do we know what time the convenience store cams caught RT , when he stopped to get ice and was seen on camera -- without Barbara ?
She could've just been in the pickup truck.
That hasn't been discussed as much-- but it feels important in trying to establish some sort of timeline.
this is news to me.
can you please direct us to this post or link?
thanks

RV refrigerators are usually much smaller than ones found in homes.

I don't find it unusual for someone buying ice to keep things in an ice chest cold to supplement the refrigerator. JMO

I sure wish we could bring her home. We need some new strategies.

SBMFF

My strategy would be for both sides of the families to sit down, discuss ways of moving forward, rather than accusations.
Let LE do what they do best.

In the meantime, everyone could be working together to bring BT home as she sounds like an incredible person.

Just my opinion et al
