Found Deceased CA - Barry Mactarnaghan, 49, San Luis Obispo, 12 Dec 2018

The San Luis Obispo Police Department is searching for 49-year-old Barry Mactarnaghan.

The police department posted he was missing on their Facebook page Thursday and said he has been missing since Dec. 13.

They said he is 5 feet 9 inches and 185 pounds.

According to police, he drives a gray 2009 Toyota Corolla.

Police asking for public’s help locating missing SLO man

MacTarnaghan is a clinical psychologist at the California Mens Colony. His wife Jill MacTarnaghan said he left both his phones at their San Luis Obispo home.

This has been all over our local news and Facebook pages. Someone said he previously worked at CCI in Tehachapi.

San Luis Obispo police searching for missing 49-year-old man

UPDATE (12/17/18) – San Luis Obispo police say Barry MacTarnaghan was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, white t-shirt, blue jeans, and blue sneakers.

The 49-year-old has been missing since last week.

He was last seen driving his 2009 gray Toyota Corolla with a license plate number of 8BIE080.

Seems to me that there could be several possibilities. Especially, when working with clients in that setting. Could be personal issues or something/someone causing him harm.

A police sergeant confirmed Thursday afternoon that MacTarnaghan’s death was the result of suicide.
