Dreadful...... RIP Blaze

The OC county records site does cost money to view. Once an arrest has been made for this case I will pay and access it for further information. Am I allowed to post what I will find on that site on here? It is public information.

This is so hard to even read about. The pain is visceral.

Sending prayers of comfort, love and strength to all who love Blaze.

Are you referring to the person with over a million dollars bail?
No, I was just offering the site to anyone who wanted to search because the other method required a name.

Dreadful...... RIP Blaze

Such a sad and senseless homicide. I wonder what led to his death. It may have been accidental and his "friend" freaked out, not wanting others to know why they met, what happened, how it happened, etc. If this was a friend who hadn't "come out" to his family, friends, peers, etc., felt he wouldn't be accepted, etc., then that will be one of the reasons for the cover up. Plus youth. Young and dumb, not street smart, not seasoned in life, just fricking scared! Think about being a teen, a young adult, etc. What did we know! And living in OC, which I do and where I was raised, you can pretty much throw street smarts out the window. just my lifelong OC opinion.

There was no third person in this scenario.

I doubt that the murderer who picked Blaze up at his home was a "friend". He was probably a total stranger, maybe a distant acquaintance. He killed Blaze because of some compulsion he couldn't control.

He may have thought he was anonymous because of the nature of the app he met Blaze through, but an emergency search warrant of the app's servers (and/or IP address of the ISP) led LE right to the perp's residence, which was searched yesterday.

The "friend"/driver's arrest will follow soon.

(JMO, of course, but honestly...)
The parents talked with the driver and said that he knew Blaze from school.

Thank you. Very informative site.

I do not think this was accident. I think this kid has been working on Blaze for awhile. He finally agreed to meet him somewhere alone and he killed him. He has been thinking about it and planning it in his mind. The fact that he specifically mentions the nonexistent girlfriend as an alibi makes me think it's a hate crime.

This is a prestigious private school here in OC. There are kids that attend from South OC, Mid OC and North OC. Maybe other areas too. So, what I'm trying to point out is, the kids that attend don't come from specific OC neighborhoods that go to their assigned schools. Parents might drive their kids miles to attend this school. I know of a family that drives their daughter 20 minutes each day and each way to attend this school. OC freeway traffic makes it even more timely!
Blaze's friend might have lived several miles away.

Our town's public high school is regional. So we take kids from our town and the surrounding small towns that do not have a middle or high school, some are bussed in as far away as 15 miles. There were friends of my kids who wouldn't know our address either. Not all schools have children that walk or are within the same city limits.

I respectfully disagree at this time. I do not think this was a hate crime. I also think mentioning the nonexistent girlfriend might be because he is/was in the closet, didn't want others to know the nature of his relationship or agenda with Blaze, so he made up that he had a girlfriend. jmo

Pulling his hands over his jacket so that his prints would not be on door handles etc just shows that he has something to hide. I normal innocent person wouldn't be doing that. And who has a girlfriend and not remember her last name? Really, come up with a better story.
I'm assuming that info was included in such detail to substantiate the warrant.

Definitely a possibility. There are so many of course.

But here is why I am swayed that way:

He said Blaze "ran away". Doesn't sound like a heat of the moment crime of passion.

He had camping gear and a rental car. He did some planning. Of course he could have purchased these items after the fact.

The text Blaze sent to his friend alerting her that he was in trouble. He knew something wasn't right....possibly before he ever got out of the car.

Whatever the case, I hope for justice for this sweet lovable kid. He has my heart.

We don't know that any of his story is true. We don't know that Blaze ran away.
The camping equipment found in his car was probably so that he, the killer, could run away. He was scared. His family might have kept these items in their garage/home. We don't know that he purchased them.
I'm a little confused about the rental car. Was it rented in his name? His parents name? If so, what were the circumstancesabout why it was rented? I don't think it was rented to perform a murder. Too traceable.
Is there a link that says Blaze alerted his friend that he was in trouble? If so, does it relate to any premeditation by the killer? All we know is that he texted his friend.
Imo if this was a young man, possibly even a teen, I don't think he met Blaze to kill him. I think something went bad and Blaze is now gone. So sad.

I guess I missed that Blaze texted his friend (girl).

OCSA is a Public Charter School

(This is very o/t (off topic)

I had a flamboyant, openly gay male friend in college eons ago named B. He told me a story about a guy we knew, named M.

B told me they had just made out privately after a party one night, when suddenly M freeeeaked out, started crying, got all crazy, and ran out...)

You are on to what I think is the most likely scenario.
I do not know if it has been established that Blaze was a gay male?
However, if so, I could see an experimental encounter transpiring, and then one party trying to silence the other about it; murder ensues.
This seems very plausible and probable to me.

But wouldn't he have marks around his neck going home and back to school.

At home he could have covered it up with a hoodie and turtlenecks are big in Philly. That being said I don't think that's what happened in this case. I'd like to give the friend the benefit of the doubt but I don't think this was at all accidental (though I'm sure that if charges are filed, that will be the defense).
