I can get in but not seeing any posts on the trial. The stuff coming up is from 2023, 2018... ??

I am disturbed by how this is playing out in court. Blaze is seemingly portrayed as someone who egged on the defendant. Blaze’s last text message to a friend is being quoted in articles cryptically, as if that has something to do with what happened ultimately. Blaze is being tried in the court of public opinion.

“It was the beginning of hell,” the father of Blaze Bernstein recalled during testimony Thursday about learning in January 2018 that his son was missing, leading to a massive search that ended nearly a week later with the discovery of the young man’s body in a makeshift grave at the edge of a Lake Forest park.

Bernstein’s mother and father took the stand Thursday in a Santa Ana courtroom in the midst of the Orange County Superior Court trial of Sam Woodward, a former Orange County School of the Arts classmate accused of stabbing Bernstein to death because Bernstein was gay.

His hair is filthy. I’m surprised that his attorney hasn’t told him to bathe and to wear anything BUT what closely resembles his look so far. This has me very curious about what the defense strategy is. IMG_1852.jpeg

The reporter who had been tweeting (www.twitter.com/thislouis) is not able to attend the trial for awhile but based on his previous tweets covering the first four days of trial, the witnesses were as follows:

Day 1 - Opening arguments.

Day 2 - Defense opening arguments (continued). Jeanne Pepper (BB's mother).

Day 3 - Jeanne Pepper (continued). Gideon Bernstein (BB's father).

Day 4 - Sgt. Patrick White of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department (responded to the missing person’s report). Sgt. Kim of the OCSD homicide unit (lived in the same neighborhood as the Bernsteins & their daughters were friends; reviewed video from the park). Joseph Saddler, Reserve Deputy (volunteer position; Search and Rescue experience; found BB's phone near where his body was found). Sgt. Travis Arbura (surveilled SW's car outside his family's house in Newport Beach and observed him cleaning it).

Murphy said he cooperated with detectives investigating Woodward’s killing out of a desire to “see justice for Blaze.”
