Wait 4'10 - 5'2 and 185 pounds? And then they say a petite build? What would that even mean? I'd think that that weight at those heights would be a little over weight at least. I'm 4'11 and 105 pounds and I look "average" weight. Would petite in this case just mean short?

5'2 and 185 lbs is obese. I'm guessing with extreme exposure to the elements and 10% chance of being male they wouldn't have been able to find markers telling weight. I'm thinking they meant to put about 105 just because that is fairly standard

It says in a Los Angeles Times article that he picked her up in North Carolina.

It just occurred to me that this Jane Doe might be Sheila Pauley. She lived in Blythe, and was LKA just across the river at a bar in Ehrenburg Arizona

I have been waiting for a year on a comparison to 84 Spokane Millie. They have never published the NamUs casefile citing a "likely match" without indicating which UP case she is likely matched to. She was LKA about 1979 or 1980, so the 8 months to 2 years timeframe timeframe doesn't quite get us to 79/80, but almost.

I search in Doe Network and find this profiles

Judy Silvester missing in 1977 from Virginia
http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/684dfva.html

Judy Martins missing in 1978 from Ohio
http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/2474dfoh.html

Judith Erin O'Donnel missing in 1980 from Maryland
http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/39dfmd.html

Judy Ann Chartier missing in 1982 from Massachussets
http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/10dfma.html

Judy Martins, Judith O'Donnell and Judith Chartier all have dental records entered in NamUs, same as the JD, so they would have been auto-matched if they were a fit.
Probably worth submitting Judy Silvester, even though the distance is quite far and the amount of time since she disappeared is quite long.

Since Sheila has been ruled-out as Spokane "Millie", I submitted her as a possible to this case.

This might be a difficult comparison, as there are no dentals for Sheila, and no DNA for the Jane Doe.

Surely they would be able to have an inkling of whether or not to grab DNA based on if she has the gap in her teeth or not?

I talked to the Coroner's investigator this morning. She says that there were no good photos of the remains, and the autopsy report wasn't clear about whether or not the Jane Doe had a gap in her teeth, or an underbite.

If he picked her up from NC, there's a possibility she could be Angela Hamby, a 20 year old who disappeared from Wilkes Co. in October 29, 1982.

I don't think we should be looking at Judys from Texas, given Lucas' propensity to lie. (Or at least we shouldn't limit ourselves to Judys from Texas, in the off chance that happens to fit her circumstances.)
