Demetrius Anderson, 23, faces multiple felony counts. He is accused of child abuse and murder

Police said it's too early to say how the child died or how long the suspected abuse was taking place.

Officer Smith said this was not a natural death and there were signs of trauma.

Anderson told investigators that Brenee would not stop crying Jan. 17, according to court documents. He tossed a doll at her face, he said. He threw Brenee onto a tile floor. And when it appeared she was dead, he punched her in the head and stomach in attempts to revive her, he said.
