Would there be some kind of enquiry, for the cause of death and suspected cause of the crash, or is that the investigation closed, if LE are stating that there are no suspicious circumstances?

Wow they still have no body for B?

It is a tragic story all the way around.

It seems so odd that he hasn't washed up, doesn't it? Other cases we see where someone is lost at sea, they seem to be recovered rather quickly...

Not really, for example there are several Swedish cases where people have drowned (or are assumed drowned depending on where they were seen last), and the bodies have not been found. One very well known case is the film director Daniel Lind Lagerlöf: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Lind_Lagerlöf Depending on how it looks below water, a body can get caught in a place from where it can't get loose, for example if there are lot of craggy rocks underwater. And it can take as short time as 20 seconds or five breaths for a person to drown, according to the Swedish Lifeguard Society.

Not odd at all. Ocean currents are strong and there are a lot of predators, and there was such a long amount of time before the car was found...

The Coast Guard predicted that since the boys each weighed about 130 to 140 pounds and were not wearing a personal flotation device like a life jacket, they could have drifted 6 to 15 miles out, possibly underwater... their families were informed that there’s a “high possibility that the bodies won’t” be recovered, Baxter said.

Katie, who was experienced as both a sky diver and BASE jumper, died in January after landing from a BASE jump off the Bixby Bridge in Big Sur, Calif. As she landed on the beach, waves overtook her and pulled her out to sea. A BASE-jump flight instructor who was with her that day, Rami Kajala, saw the situation and tried to save her. He died a hero in the process. His body was found a week later, but Katie's body has never been recovered.

Authorities concluded that Harold Holt, who vanished while swimming off the coast of Victoria nearly 40 years ago, simply died from drowning.

He disappeared on Dec 17, 1967 but his body was never found.

I would really like Brian to be found now. It has been too long.

If he hasn't been found yet, and he did go into the ocean, he will never be found, most likely. :candle:

It is frustrating because it still leaves the door open to the dark possibility that he escaped the crash...

I seriously doubt he survived and I feel really bad for his family. They may never have the closure they need.
