From my understanding, he rolled off of Lake Hughes Road and onto the parking lot / "driveway" of the boat ramp. That would explain the 15 foot ravine they keep talking about.

If the markings were on Lake Hughes Road, that may have just been marking where they think he went off the road.

Where bing is pulling it up is actually Castaic Lagoon, zoom out, the actual lake is behind it and much bigger and steeper. It has two sides, like a V with lots of fingers. I went waterskiing there many years ago.

Every time I hear of a young man disappearing, I can't help but think that a mental break from reality or the starting signs of schizophrenia. JMO

Boat launches can be steep, but 15' ravine??? IDK, maybe one of our locals can tell us...

If you look at the map, there is a "driveway" that comes off of Lake Hughes Rd to connect it to the boat ramp parking lot, and then continues to the boat ramp into the water.

The parking lot / road to the boat ramp runs parallel to Lake Hughes Road. It looks as if there is a very steep drop between Lake Hughes Road and the parking lot / boat ramp.

Can you direct me to where the "main boat ramp" on the lake is then?

Most boat ramps are designed similarly. I own a boat and have been on many of them (although not in CA!).

I just pulled up the first boat ramp I found on Lake Hughes Road.

Well, the good news here is that it sounds like they are doing a very thorough search, and I am glad that they are checking the water. Here on WS, we may still be confused about the details of the crash, but it sounds like LE is following a solid search strategy and hopefully with time Bryce will be found if he is in the area.

I'm trying to channel some patience here, but I am really hoping he is found very soon.

I've been thru this area many times. I am wondering if he was even in the car; how could he survive that impact? Did someone find him and take him to the ER? Were there any hit and runs and John Does off I5 or the immediate area that day/night or the next? If he was on foot; he could have been hit.
He could be in hospital somewhere.....with so many counties in the area that makes it difficult. Maybe he did walk away. I just don't see how his vehicle ended up like this. Does he 4 wheel and was his vehicle equiped?

Does this mean that when LE caught up with Bryce in Buttonwillow, he was acting normally and they left him alone? Hard to believe given the timeline, IMO.

She seems very flat and almost rolled her eyes at the last statement. Could she be involved? Body Language my Peeps. Body Language. It just doesn't lie, not ever. AND she is the last person to see him alive; so don't be quick to discount that fact. She was last with him. Did he attempt to break it off with her and she lost it? The tide turns both ways. She was completely flat, no emotion What So Ever!

No, unfortunately I can't. I went with my neighbors back when I was in high school. You'd need one of our locals for that. Perhaps abugs or spicy sun???
I could just tell by looking at the front "lake", that the shape of the lake wasn't right, and it wasn't deep enough for power boats. So I zoomed out- the front one is labeled Castaic Lagoon.

Try this link: I think it's D on the map: https://maps.google.com/maps?client...boating&ei=ZzknUou9BKan2AXPmYBI&ved=0CLEBEMgT

Can you post that link?

I also can't find photos of his vehicle after the accident?

KTLA news just had breaking news report that a body has been found, on fire, on the side of the road in the Castaic area.
I knew Bryce Laspisa was in that area so I thought I would post this now so that others might also be able to keep an ear and eye open on different news sites.
ETA: Lake Hughs Road.
Passerby noticed brush burning and went to investigate, noticed a body burning in the brush.

KTLA is Channel 5 here in Los Angeles

Keep us posted, definitely sounding like murder now, CHP is also involved.

Not local but I believe this is the area of the main boat ramp: http://www.bing.com/maps/?v=2&cp=pr...zdHk9YiZxPTM0LjUxNTkzMSUyNTIwLTExOC41OTYyOTY=

Looks steep to me, and like he could have gone off the road, down the ravine at several places and still landed on the road below.

Here is the interview with the gf: http://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/Bryce-Laspisa-Missing-Person-Castaic-Lake-222226581.html
Okay, that looks closer to the main lake than the lagoon in front of it.

I don't think the girlfriend was involved at all, she looks to me like she thinks he will be just fine.

I did suspect murder from the beginning. I think he was being followed or met with someone.

Been listening to the live feed: L.A. County sherriff's now in charge. Tent has been erected, may close off Lake Hughes Road soon, crime scene tape going up.

I'm thinking someone took advantage of this poor guy in a very vulnerable state/place... The question is where the murder was committed. Was it in Castaic, Buttonwillow, or perhaps Long Beach???
